Yeah if it is anywhere he will be going to it will be GWS, we could not possibly come up with a satisfying trade unless as mentioned earlier in the thread we offered reid, hannerbury etc which aint gonna happen. He will stay at collingwood.

If you were planning long term for this sort of thing, you would be better off waiting fro free agency to come in at the end of next season .

You could then go after a thomas or pendlebury type without having to give up so many good players.

While you would love to have thomas in your team, you would have to give up too much for him I would have thought.

Mind you they owe us for giving them a decent ruckman.

I am sure I read somewhere that he is a bit of a Mummy's boy and would not leave Melbourne for GWS because he would be too far away from her.

It would be great to see him in red and white but he sure would be an expensive trade.

Thomas & Pendlebury are a fair way off qualifying for free agency.

As much as I like to bag Daisy in that he looks like on of those hairy beach umbrella's - the kid certainly can play, and he would be fantastic for us - but the pies wont let him go cheaply simple as that (and lets face it Eddie just wouldnt stop whinging about the defection saying stupid things like we cheated to get him and Sydney get all of these consessions blah blah blah - you all know the drill - we can all live without that) doesnt hurt to dream but!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I'll drink to that, unfortunately, I can't see him leaving Collingwood, even though they probably will run into salary cap issues next year. They would dump other players before him, just like we had to let Schnieder and Dempster go to fit the cap after our flag

Thomas would be eligible after the 2103 AFL season, not so long away. You would hope we would have secured the services of another classy outside mid, or developed one, before that time comes.

By the time that comes around I think most of us on here would be way past caring.......

I have heard on good authority that Brendon Goddard is on the Swannies radar too.

Nah, you mean Brendon Fevola. Everyone in Melbourne says so, and that means it must be true.

There is only room for one head of flowing golden locks on the team and that role has been taken

Our one also is the better player by a 'canter' or the 'length of a flemington straight'

Yeah, there's something about him I can't stand, but it's a personality thing, and he seems to be mellowing and not showboating as much as when he used to drive me berserk. And he's a good player, I have to admit. And any dislike is mostly irrational, and not based on public urination, sexual assault, or generally being an oaf. I suppose I could eat my words and endure anyone digging up the e-trail of insults and abuse I've heaped on him, were he to come to the Swans ... though as others have said, I don't really see it happening. If at all, he'll be across town with GWS.
