As an expert in dummy spits ( ive quit RWO 3 times this year - I'm seeing a shrink to figure out why I keep returning... I didn't know @@@@ing nuts was a medical term) I can tell you this one from Frog is a ripper. It's clear that Frog has a personal problem with Horse and no amount of success will change that.
Frog, my post on the the more feral Horse haters wasn't directed at you. I had another person in the animal Kingdom in mind when I wrote that.Comment

As far as I am concerned, you can wait till the cows come home.
For the record, Longmire's sister works in the Corowa District Hospital. She saved my father's life. I still don't @@@@ing like Longmire as a coach, never have and never will, even if he does win us a premiership, which, I am sorry to say, I sincerely doubt.
Since I am not allowed to have an opinion that is against what most of you think, I am hereby tendering my resignation as owner of the boards and administrator. I have no qualms about leaving you in the good hands of Scott and Liz.
I have had enough of the lot of you.
I will watch my swannies in peace now.Comment

C'mon Frogster.
Chin up bro. We all accept that you don't like Horse, but love the Swans.
That's ok.
You're allowed to if you want to.
Don't take your ball and go home.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Getting back to the topic, is he a good coach or is our recruiter, can't remember his name, the person who should get the credit for our amazing improvement??
Me thinks both deserve a pat on the back; all club recruit players, but our players have actually improved over the years, see Jetta!
PS or you can guys can continue with your email war!doof-doofComment

Yeah like the players say when they're on the field, they're part of a machine, not an individual. Maybe the support staff are the same, if they focus on their strengths it can make up for weaknesses in other areas. A lot has been said of Kinnear Beatson's excellent recruitment but I'm sure there are a lot more behind the scenes influences that we're not privy to.Comment

Thankfully I don't think I ever put my darkest thoughts about Longmire down in digital ink. I think the worst I did was express "doubts". Let this be a lesson in wishy-washy fence sitting.
I saved my doomsday predictions for my stream-of-consciousness rants while games were unfolding. Only my girlfriend is able to mock me for my know-it-all pessimism.Comment

However, it's the head coach that takes the heat when a team performs poorly (unless you're Michael Voss, but that's another story), so I think it's only fair to give them plenty of credit when a team does well. Not everyone likes to be fair.
In general - just to be clear I am not aiming this at you Cosmic, just quoted you in relation to the first part of my post...
Sure, the team's current success is a result of a whole mix of right people and circumstances and timing and years of building and discarding and learning and consolidating and all of that, but anyone who thinks our success is in spite of Longmire is an idiot. An absolute, complete and utter moron who should punch themselves directly in the face with a Sydney bus. IMO. Seriously.Superman still wears Brett Kirk PyjamasComment

Funny how the pot can sometimes not realize the kettle is a very dark shade of brown?

I especially liked the part where Kirkari clarified to another user that they were not attacking them personally - I thought that bit was quite polite and a good way to go about things here when having a conversation.Comment

Actually yes. It was a tad rude although not directed at anyone in particular - when the attacks are personal is often when the line is crossed. It looked worse when taken out of context by only including part of the post, the rest of which was quite well written and fair.

I agree totallyComment
