Hard to understand why Mal was the sub. Unless they're looking to use him more on ball or fwd, it would seem a complete waste as we have Mattner, Kenelly, Shaw (When not tagging) and to a lesser extent, Grundy playing as those running back type roles. I don't mind seeing him fwd or on the ball, especially later in the game when his clean delivery could be pivotal when everyone else is tiring. But if it is fwd type role, then surely we're better off with TDL starting fwd as he's a stronger mark in the first place. For mine, we look a lot more dangerous with TDL starting fwd, Mal starting back, and Rohan/Parker as a sub. Having said that, I'd be quite happy to see Kennelly or Jetta make way for Parker starting on the field.

I'm surprised he didn't count the bye as a loss for us

To be honest, hard to argue with his logic. We've turned in some ordinary performances this year and of the games remaining, we could quite easily go 1-4.

It's the 4-1 to the Bulldogs where you go wtf.

Yep... that's a fair call too. The losses to Adelaide & Fremantle are really going to hurt us with this draw. The draw to Melbourne didn't help either. That aside, if we're contenders, we should go 4-1. If we go any less than that, we're just making up the numbers and ruining September for all concerned.

                        I'll take 3:2

                        I'd be wrapped with 4:1

Not that it guarantees success, but we will start the bookies favourites in 4 of the remaining 5 games....

I simply dont accept that. We will start bookies favourite in two games, and will be evens in two games. If the saints run continues there is no way we will start faves against them and essendon at etihad i am sure will start fave against us, even if it is 1.8 to 1.9

If the Doggies win 11 I will walk to Melbourne & that ain't gunna happen. What a load of tripe. The guy must be a Bullies supporter or bewildered, which doesn't surprise me as he writes for the Herald Sun. The Doggies at the moment stand on 7 wins & they need to win 4 out of 5 to get 11. They play Essendon, Hawthorn, West Coast & Freo, good luck I don't see them doing it. Chalk a loss against the Hawks & Eagles already.

Don't accept it all u like, fortunately we only have to wait a few weeks and we will know who's right.

If we beat both Essendon and Richmond, we will be a clear favourite against the Saints in Sydney.

Not saying we deserve to be clear favourites, but it's a fact of life we always start much shorter for games in Sydney than we should be and longer in away games.

If Essendon get the inevitable pumping by the Pies this week, how can they possibly start favourite against us, Etihad or no Etihad.

In a way I hope your right, it will be a nice way to pay for the trip down that weekend.
