Lewis Jetta........level jumping..........and what about AJ and Sammy Reid

without doubt Jetta has level jumped in his confidence..........another pre season and the guy could be a serious weapon next year

Sam Reid definitely looked the most direct and confident this year

AJ - what can I say the guy just gets better every week........even playing open and wide in the 3rd and 4th qtrs.......Im afraid we we cant carry Kennelly and Mal.......maybe even both have to go if we want to keep moving forward as a team on the rise rather then decline

I'm not sure Mal is suited to the sub role. He's not really a "pinch hitter". It may have been better to use TDL or Jetta as sub, as neither of them have much of a defensive side to their games.

I would have used irish as the sub and played Eski, maybe he's lacking fitness or something

Are you taking the piss jetta was horrible was directly responsible for at Least 3 goals against .. Yes he kicked 2 and yes he has skills and pace but my god he is soft and has no desire to influence a contest unless it involves being on the end of a handball !! While I'm off the long run TDL should never play another game for the club .. Soft spectator who adds nothing to te forward line at all as soon as lamb or Rohan are ready play them !!

Boy, you'll be unpopular on here for that comment, there's plenty on here that would play TDL if he'd had both legs severed!
I think tonight demonstrated what Longmire has said all along, his defensive side is too weak. Yes, he can kick a goal but his soft defense just let them run it out time after time.
Agree about Jetta, he should be our specialist sub!

Jetta is hugely over rated. It just puzzles me why no-one realised that when he had kicked 0-19 last year? It was bizarre that the more he failed, the more the faithful embraced him. Sure he can do some tricks, but overall he is a liability to the side. He has a poor work rate, is unaccountable, and rarely influences the outcome of a game ... until "that" handball tonight of course ... good grief!

On the other hand Aj and Sam will be the backbone of this team for the next dozen years ... stars!

Jetta was great tonight aside from that handball. Played with a confidence and intensity that was really promising.

Loving AJ and Reid like a Fleshlight right now.

Gee whiz. Both are effectively second year players. Both are getting to this level. And both may well get there -not every player coming into the league is an inside player or a tackling machine. Let's see them over a period of time hey ?

What I don't get is why we leave out TDL cos he's underdone practically all season then bring him in when he's still underdone. It just defies logic really. Surely anyone fit would be a better option.

I think Jetta is playing much better the seconf part of the year, fills a role, doing what he is told to do by the coach and will improve as he plays more senior footy. Not sure you can say the same about TDL, softer than melted butter there tonight, although I thought a few senior players were very down. Bolton and ROK seemed to have little impact and Marty made his one customary error that cost a goal. Overall though I thought it was a good performance and the younger players really stepped up a notch, wish Parks had kicked a couple of goals. We might see Rohan as the sub next week, or in the 22 depending on injuries etc

Malceski and Tadgh are v ordinary at present, Parker Hanners Reid and AJ fantastic contributors this year, if we could add Lewis Johnston C Heath and I still have hopes for Meredith, to that list a great year for youngsters we MUST look at pensioning some off though too. I can understand youngsters making a blue but I am sick of exprienced players costing us close games.

Jetta came good in the the last but was ordinary before then , his defensive pressure is ordinary atm and he shirks a few contests at times. I think we expect to much from him it may take 60 to 70 games before we see his best ala Mcveigh. The talent is there just needs to take a game buy the scruff of the neck and then he will be away in my opinion. Reid and AJ I can not speak highly enough of, and Parker is going to be Jude mark 2

I think Malceski's Lars knee is inhibiting his abiilty to run out a game.

Agree; 10 stats for 81% game time plus a couple of shocker handballs. His value is running and getting on the end of the footy. He is never going to be a strong at the footy player but why hasn't his game been moulded into our game plan. Maybe we need to point the finger at dvelopment coaches.

As for TDL, he has had more than enough chances. I haven't seen one of his types since the 60's. Dead set fairy floss footballer. Should at Melbourne playing bruise free footy. He hasn't played much footy and was brought into the side. A strange selection to me. Gordon offers far more at the contest. Yes, get Rohan back in asap.

More likely to be the groin soreness that has been hampering him over the last couple of months.
