He's getting an easy run from the press.

Maybe he's getting one year's grace.

OK...I dd see one reasonably impassioned look before I could watch no more...shame the team seemed entirely iwthout passion or a sense of desperation.

Longmire and his selectons are still rubbish. Wonder what the 'pro Longmire' people use as ther argument when we are out of the 8 next week?

Playing Parker as a sub is a joke. Having no forward structure is a joke. Playing an out of form Kennelly because of hs 2005 reputation is a joke. Not playing LRT in the backline is a joke.

At the end of last season and during the preseason, and maybe after the first few rounds I still had hope of a top 4 place. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only person who thought that we were going to improve on last season and be a real contender this year.

If we write this off as simply a bad day and make no changes to speak of I will be further disgusted with the coaching team........

The players need to take as much heat as the coaches. The buck stops with Longmire because that's the way footy works but mistakes and lack of effort by professional footballers are something that coaches have little say in.

You won't get any disagreement from me. I think the players were absolutely awful all over the field. But I want some answer as to whether it was tactics or players that lead to that god awful bomb the ball fifty metres to a pack and see what happens....Is the definition of insanity doing the same thing repeatedly but expecting a different result ??

And I also want some answers as to the Jesse white lrt thing. I remain in the Jesse corner as being a better option than LRT as both ff and resting ruck. I liked the idea of lrt playing for the added benefit o maybe throwing lrt back when things weren't working. But it certainly didn't happen today. Putting lrt on vickery and moving Grundy forward might have been something worth trying. Lrt as ruck and ff certainly wasnt

here here, LRT had an OK game or two but that has petered out, most of us thought White was finished now he looks an option again, I think that speaks for our lack of forward talent , but bring in LJ and Rohan soonest and let's try the young guns if the old farts aren't cracking it.

Ps I'd be just as happy if none of the players were available for interviews this week but just left it to the coaching staff. If I hear one more time from the players about what a big game it is coming up and how it's like a final I will just go he.

The really disappointing thing is that we're all sounding like broken records on so many different topics over the course of the whole year, yet it's hard to even see anything that might be changing.

We've had a pretty disappointing year on-field, and either going to miss the finals or just scrape in and lose Week 1 - yet we've only had 4 players IMO who have made any progress this year.

No-one on our coaching panel appears to be under any sort of consideration for other senior coaching vacancies - and in all reality never will. That doesn't have to be an issue, but it does say something IMO. I think we desperately need to lure either (or both) i) one of the unsuccessful candidates for the Melbourne or Adelaide jobs as a senior assistant, or ii) a highly-rated young assistant (ie. the next Burns, Goodwin etc).

We have some strengths, but we have way too many atrocious kicks (on our list, let alone just in our best 22), and we only have a couple of natural forwards on our entire list. There should be multiple sackings at the club if we haven't been scouring the country for small forwards who can provide defensive pressure. I think the need is that desperate that it has to be our #1 recruiting priority (even if that means trading for it).

Personally I think we desperately need LJ to make it as a key defender - someone down there who can actually kick would be a huge benefit. Grundy can hopefully return to his semi-reliable best (presumably he's been injured all year).

I've resisted the idea for some time, but it's hard to justify having Kennelly back again next year. He's moving like he's 65, and the unimaginative way we're playing (struggling with moving the ball from defence, dealing with the press) is rendering him basically useless.

There will be a massive weight on the shoulders of a handful of our more talented youngsters in the next 3-5 years. If they end up being anything less than guns, we're going to struggle badly.

Love way the snipers best analysis is to label our players as crap. Then of course they say our coach is crap. Seems logical to me that being still in the eight means that if one of these assertions are right then by definition we either have good players or a good coach to compensate. But ah, why let anything logical stand in the way of a good old fashioned ill informed carp about that which they know nought. Perhaps the truth is we have a limited but promising list with a coaching staff that has done well to keep the team in contention after years of finals action.

personally you cant blame the coaches for todays performance....
There was no effort today form any of them bar Kennedy and ROK i thought were our best players.....

We do need some changes perhaps 4-5 i think after winning only 2 from 8 time for change is needed now with only 3 weeks to go...

exactly, i think some on here got ahead of themselves after last years finish, but we lostr Kirk, Bolts and Braddy....
We had some young kids in last year who got some experience, but we got more this year..as i have said before bottom half of the 8 is where i think we are in terms of development (mind you we are ahead of other teams with higher draft picks over a longer period of time) so i think we are doing ok....the REALITY is our premiership window is 2-3 years away...
