Yep - at the game I thought he was pretty busy defensively. I was watching him because the moron in front of me started abusing him from the bounce for being soft, so I was waiting for opportunities to cheer Jetta on from a few cm behind said fool.

When I get home and watched the game on TV, I thought that the commentators criticism relied on a couple of cherry-picked incidents, which you could do with any player on the ground.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

I noticed the increased work rate as well. His game, especially the 2nd half, was very encouraging.

I really like Jetts but he can't get only 9 possesions at a effective rate of 45%. Not worried so much about the quantity but the quality needs to improve. Agree that sending him to the 2's is most likely a waste of time but players already in the ressies deserve a shot as well.

When you start off from a low base,a normal work rate looks good.

At the ground it was a lot more than that. Like most of the lads he busted a gut out there.

I am still for Jetts for only a couple simple reasons.........he allows us to play fast break footy when needed and that can not be under estimated..........his HFF defence is certainly no worse then anyone else........he forces opposition players to move the ball on early to very often nothing situations.......his speed has them worried and they get caught giving a shot pass forward. His upside in attack is so much more then anyone else except maybe Gary Rohan in a similar role

I think as mentioned if we have both on the field and firing......Jetts will keep lifting.........his work rate was very exciting yesterday...........he takes away defenders to parts of the ground they do not want to be and those specific leads that our coaching dept would be asking him to do allows our other forwards more space and one on one opportunities

I still cant believe that just because his disposals are not high enough he is being shot down by so many............those fast breaks away from the breakdown are so important and you need to be very fast for defenders to freak out and come with you..........and yest they did.........and that makes a massive difference.........even against a flood back defensive team like the Saints

Imagine if they put the camera on Nick Smith yesterday as much as Jetts..........poor old nick made some very costly errors yest.......yet I love Nick being in our team also
