Now all he needs is a barber on his head. Fine player , but looks a bit too "rock-star" for the Swans.

Friend of mine thinks he has the persona of another Dale Lewis.

      Discus.

I think he is just like Spang. For some reason we all like him.

We like him because he gives a genuine effort every time regardless of where he is in the contest. He is in this regards the opposite of Jesse whose effort gets the thumbs down so often. With Spang you have a guy playing his heart out all day, surely Jesse must learn something from playing next to this guy?

I certainly hope so and wholeheartedly agree he sets a great example. When we drafted him I thought "uh oh" as I thought he was a spectacularly accident and @@@@-up prone defender. He's a been a revelation forward. Like the way he takes his chances and has a crack.

No, no, no!! The 'rock-star' look is part of his style. Love it.

I mentioned this in the "Kizza for Captain" thread. A couple of us were discussing it at the game yesterday and agreed he has a touch of the Dale Lewis about him.

A very good description. He's certainly surprising me. If he'd held on to a couple of those "almost" grabs and finished the Goodes to&fro it would count as one heck of a night.

I like the strut, but didn't think he was great as a footballer, but his last game was impressive, and you'd think there's still a lot of improvement left.

I like him a lot, he has a go and throws his body around. Lot of room for improvement and seems to have the desire to keep improving, great signs for him (and us)

Agree entirely, West Coast thought his disposal was on the poor side and it looks like he just wasn't really fancied there. They were a mess for the last few years of course, but he certainly has made a difference he gets to contests has taken good grabs and if not brings the ball to ground. He seems to find the ball a lot and he has, with Parker and Bolton, stirred up that forward line that we were all so worried about for a few months.

When he did come off it looked like him being the one to be subbed out had been planned. He seemed to enjoy the rest and was very in to the rest of the game from his front row seat. He clearly knows he's a crowd favourite already, too.
He had ice on his shoulder immediately after putting on the red vest, so maybe just precautionary.

I like the set up with White, Reid and Spangher in the fwd line. Makes the defenders a bit more nervous.
Add Goodes and Rohan, and they will be just crapping their footy shorts

That's it, isn't it? After weeks of wondering where the next goal was going to come from, all of a sudden we have a few different (and different-looking) options. And they've been able to play good defensive footy too. MIght all go to poo in the finals but it gives you a bit of hope and as a fan you can't ask for more than that.
