      2. Questioning the bloods culture - What, you mean like pretty much everybody here was in 2009? I think it's fair to say that a culture can be questioned, can't you? What's wrong with pointing out a few of the flaws. I think most here felt it was getting a bit cultish, to the detriment of the team, in 2008/9.
      3. Having a go at Kirk - Quotes? And complaining that he talked to the media before he talked to him is fair enough. It's not a great look for Kirk.
      4. Dislike for the Swans style of footy - What's wrong with that? Again, most people on here have expressed a dislike for the Swans style of footy.
      5. Ragging off about Roos, etc - Already addressed. He's allowed to be honest. Roos acted poorly.

Most of the stuff here has been incidental statements that are basically inferred from what he's saying when praising the Dogs anyway. He says something good about the Dogs, and the journos pump up the inference that the Swans were somehow inferior in this regard. He's mentioned he was happy with the supply he was getting at the Dogs, so maybe the Swans weren't that great. Etc, etc, etc. He gets fed leading questions, he answers them honestly. Fair game IMO. Doesn't mean he'll never be a Swan again, doesn't mean he harbours any resentment, he just has some opinions which when you think about them are fair enough. After all, they're opinions that have been expressed here by posters numerous times.
If you read my post?? you should of noticed I said all of Halls complaints/ criticisms may well be correct, that's not the point.
IMO he does hold resentment, probably justified.
Otherwise he wouldn't of fed the media with all this material...
He knows better than you or I how the press work.

Roos' statements have confirmed that Hall tried to contact him to discuss the situation, that Roos fronted the media before talking to Hall and that Roos did not contact Hall for a couple of days. I believe Roos has previously acknowledged that he made a mistake in not contacting Hall. For someone in a role as a leader of men I don't think it was Roos' finest hour.
Pretty much how I see it. I thought it was a good article with Hall not blaming anyone but himself for what he did. I also think that Roos could have handled this a bit better.

Are you quoting Barry Hall or the RWO forum???

At the end of the day his book was ghost written. He hopes to make a motza from sales (I for one won't be buying or borrowing a copy). He was our premiership captain (which was one of the best football days of my life), he gave me heaps of joy and anguish and in 2015 he will be joining his team mates for their 10 year premiership re-union. Sure he his upset as to how some things happened and I'm sure if the parties involved (Roos and Kirk) had their way again they would have handled things differently. Barry will always be a special part of the Swans, but he was far from perfect and should also shoulder some criticism.

Roos is the bad guy? But Hall threw the cut lunches.

                Here's my take.

                1. "None of my teammates rang" - sad, and hardly the 'bloods' spirit
                2. "But his phone rang out. I left a message saying I really wanted to have a chat. I didn't hear back from him that day" - petty and immature on Roos' part
                3. "Roosy said he'd been too angry to take my call" - lame
                4. "I knew he disliked confrontation, but to hear Roosy's response on the news was disappointing" - absolutely
                5. "It's just how the whole thing was handled that I felt was ordinary" - like some RWOers thought when it happened. Still think that.

The rest is sad and childish.
I expect the club to behave in a more mature way than that.

I still respect what roos has done for the club, he is our premiership coach.
And just as Barry behaved badly and I got over it him for his actions, I do so with Roosey also.

I think Hall has good reason to be pissed though...

So? They're both in the wrong about different things. Hall throwing punches doesn't absolve Roos of responsibility for his decidedly poor reaction to it.

Barry Hall bagging Swans supporters, nothing to do with the forum.
