I'd go along with LRT for Reg - he (Reg) needs some confidence refreshment in the twos.
The only other change I'd make is Tadhg out, Macca in.
But why on earth would you drop Horse for Roos? Don't change a winning team - and I mean the coaching team.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I should point you to the other thread (the Longmire one) ... but I'll let you know here now ... Longmire had little to do with today's win other than being named as the coach.
(Please note that I would not be on the "I am a fan of Longmire" list)

Yes Frog, I read the other thread, and I understand where you're coming from, and I have no doubt that the McVeigh factor was very significant. It's just that I disagree (1) because even allowing for the ups and downs of this season I think the jury's still out, (2) he seems to have the players' confidence at present, and (3) he has already tinkered with the game plan in ways that seem to be positive - playing on more often is just one example.
Let's see where we are in three weeks' time, and in 55 weeks' time before we put the Horse out to grass.

Tadgh out, and someone else for Gordon and McVeigh.

Parker ,Rohan and Spangus maximus should be automatic selections next week. How do we fit Mc Veigh,Malceski,Mike Pyke back in?

The only one out of form with kicking and timing seems to be Reg. Meredith will probably go and maybe Tadgh although he played quite well.

Kennelly out, Macca in. Johnson might be carrying an injury too. Don't drop Grundy though.

agree keep grundy, the good far outweighs the bad in him. Love Johnson so hope he can get up, and I am desperate for Gordon to get another go, he adds a little something extra!

Well someone had to work out match up and tactics. It didn't happen by itself.

Roos delivered us one (1) premiership in how many seasons? You want to sack Longmire before he finishes the first season in probably 6th position with a very young team.

Wow, don't drop Grundy. Some posters are very keen to pull the trigger on a winning team.

                      IN: McVeigh
                      OUT: Meredith

Meredith was OK today, but the most expendable midfielder.

                        Well you see Bas:
                        - the players win matches
                        - the coaches lose matches

                        Been that way for decades.

hahha dropping Grundy. What are you people smoking?

Kennelly has to go. Malceski to replace him.

McVeigh for Meredith if he is right to go.

                          LRT for Johnson.

Oh and I really don't think McVeigh will play next week.

Wouldn't actually mind resting Johnson for Brisbane. Getting him fresh for finals wouldn't be too bad an idea if he indeed is carrying an injury. His defensive work has been as good as ever but he's not getting on the end of counter attacks as much.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
