Can barely wait for the team to be named this afternoon. Also good to know we have no more Sunday games for the year so Thursday is the day from here on in.
I'm still expecting Macca to put his hand up. Any other time in the season he may have had one more week, but I'd imagine he wouldn't like to miss another round and go into the finals a bit underdone.
I still reckon that Longmire's press conference suggested strongly that Jets will come back in.

If Macca comes back thats a big effort from the co-captain. He would be pretty physically and mentally drained. He will know best though. Anybody in for Tadhg and that will do me.

Will be interesting if Kennelly plays out the season based on this morning's announcement - will any sentimentality come into it for the selection committee ... You would think he's the first to go though ...Comment

I was thinking that too Alison - either Tadhg retires immediately or he'll be out there on Saturday, I reckon.
Of course, none of know where Macca is at but I can see he may put his hand up to do something more than sit and think. I'll be giving him - or both of them - a standing ovation if they turn up at the SCG on Saturday. Love this club.Comment

How do you drop anybody from a team the beat Geelong at Geelong ?
As much as I would like to see Jed Lamb get showcased and Nipper get rewarded for effort the only change I can justify would be McVeigh if he puts his hand up for either Meredith of Kennelly. Certainly not Jetta.Mummy I suppose could have a rest by bringing in Seaby or Pyke (who would go out I don't know & maybe you could just ruck White more and develop Mummy's forward skills without making any changes).

Yeah I think if kennelly didnt think that he would get a farewell game then it would of been an immediate retirement. Id at least give him the sub role this week and then he would need to make way in the finals.Comment

I hope Tadhg keeps his place this week. Having made his decision to retire and announced it, may give him a new lease of life and allow him to play great football for his last few games (??). That would be so good - I like fairytale endings!
However keeping Tadgh would make it difficult to fit Malceski back in.
