        Well done Tiger.
I hope you get to do one more irish jig on the podium on grand final day.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Been a great player over the years and almost our most important player during our GF years. Maybe not the best player, but the drive he gave us meant we missed him more than just about anybody else when he was out thru injury.

He has struggled the back end of this year and I admit I haven't been backward in giving him a whack, but I more than acknowledge his career...

Not surprising really, but still sad to see him go (again). I think he is making the right decision. If you told me back a few years ago that this skinny kid we just recruited from Ireland who had never kicked a Sherrin in his life would end up being a 190-game premiership player, I would have thought you to be mad.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Now I feel both prescient and bad for saying lately that it's time for him to go. Slowing down of late, but will always be one of the '05 legends and part of the team's heart & soul. If his last game is at home, we all have to do a jig in the stands in his honour as he goes off the field for the last time.

All the best Tergghhhhh - Taiiiii .... damn, and I still never learned to say/spell his blasted name properly!

Well done potato head. A great career.

So that leaves ROK, Jude, Goodes, LRT and Bevan from the class of '05 still in red and white. Who'll be the last man standing?

Too many running halfbacks tend to hover around players that have taken a mark in order to collect a cheap kick. Irish didn't do this, nor did he run wide to the boundary like so many.

So he was never going to be a great accumulator of posessions but at his best every one of his posessions was A grade top quality, he provided genuine straight-up-the-middle dash that was an extremely rare commodity in the AFL.

I hope I never forget the blind turn that he used on Michael Voss, and I suspect we may never see a player so willing to deliberately "falcon" the ball as Tadhg.

I also think he did much to make the "solo" from fullback so popular. Thanks Irish

Great career Tadhg, but you know the time has come to leave. Thanks for being one of us and showing us your classy moves for the red and white.

Tadhg good on you for leaving when it's time. And thanks for the memories. You gave us the drive from defence that won us a flag and you united two countries, in a way that will have ramifications for decades, with your jig on the GF stage. Like Nicky D and Leo you're forever part of our Swans folklore.

It'll be fascinating whether you decide your future is here or there. If there, I hope we see you back for Premiership reunions. Ideally, I hope you see our next Premiership this year or come back very soon to see our next.

A great player with an amazing career. Along with Goodes, Kirk and Hall was one of those indispensable to our premiership.
