or its something like that - heard it on the 5pm news on the way home in the car -Brett Kirk is apparently going to the Suns to introduce a new culture & mentor (like the bloods ethos I guess) and I thought - geez once word of this gets out RWO will go into melt down. So I dont know if its true, but I'm just passing on what I heard. SO DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGER!!!

Well Boy George and his band members are coming out for New Year's Eve so perhaps they can welcome the new Culture Club.
Should have gone to help GWS instead. I could see Boy George out on stage between Folau and Patton and tumbling for ya.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

I really begrudge Kirk in doing this thing he appears to want to do.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

The culture of this club is something special that has developed over the 120+ years of its history. Its not something that can be reproduced at a club that's 5 minutes old but Kirky will certainly start them in the right direction. No other clubs culture will ever be the same as ours.Comment

Its a job. Working for 2 days a week up at the GCS on a year contract as part of his job with a company he works for which develops 'bloods' like cultures in business and sport - i.e. ethics, commitment and communication as a starting point. He is not recruiting (except to the yoga room perhaps), and we already have the bones and blood of this culture anyway. GCS had to do something after the debacle with players who should have known better in Bali. Go spread the love Kirky - it all depends on the people involved anyway as to its effectiveness. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Good on Kirky for being able to make a dollar out of what he was so good at doing when he was a player - inspiring and leading others. I wish him every success in his endeavours. I also think he would make a fantastic Swans coach somewhere down the track....Comment

QFT. He isn't employed by them.
"The Suns had tried to get Kirk on board as a welfare officer but he decided to join former AFL Players' Association psychologist Pippa Grange at Blue Stone Edge, a firm that works in building culture.
Suns chief executive Travis Auld was so determined to get Kirk on board he engaged the new company, securing the former midfielder's services exclusively for two days a week.
Kirk will work across all parts of the club, splitting his time between the administration and football departments."Comment

hadn't he already stated that in regards to coaching etc he wanted to learn at different clubs to exp different coaching and football club systems first to broaden his knowledge.
So i dont begrudge him 1 minute working for other clubs to earn a crust. In the end i think he will end up back at the club i a few years.
but you might as well learn from other around the place.Comment
