I've only seen Fyfe a couple of times and I thought he appeared more of a footballer than an "elite athlete" (if you see what I mean) certainly not blessed with blinding pace but elusive.

Fyfe is their Goodes and, as has been previously stated, is a tough matchup. We dont have any tagger with the tank or ability in the air to go with him - full stop. He will be our nightmare. Players like Hill though, are a different story. Hill is a handy player until late in the match when he is able to burn other players off with his pace when they have all tired. I dont think we need to worry about Hill so much in the first half, but after that I think we could have issues. For this reason I think that AJ is best on Hill and I suspect that Longmire may have a tagger/defender as the sub this week.

Until I seen it here I wouldn't have thought of Rohan for a tagging role on Fyfe but I like it as one of the options.
IMO as with everyone here Rohan has huge talent but could be involved more, a tag on a player like Fyfe may just be a valuable learning experience for him and has the bonus of really being able to hurt them the other way.
Having said this, as stated by others I think we will need a range of options ready for Fyfe.

Mind you, if it starts raining this week (as predicted), it might be worth going smaller.

Very good point, depending how wet it is, if it's greasy, then we might get killed by superior ball skills, if it's a bog, we might smash them at the contested ball on he ground. If Shaw plays, he'll get the job on Fyfe, has the tank to run with most mids

Shaw has had a groin injury. Hardly likely that he would get a run with role with anyone coming off that type of injury.

Watched the reserves game high lights and while im making this conclusion from a few minutes of footage, thought Armstrong and TDL both looked good. Was particularly impressed with Armstrongs highlights. Don't think it will be this week but I hope he gets in the side soon. Im hoping at least one of our recruits this year can have an impact and at this stage I feel he is the one most likely to do that considering Morton and Walsh have looked pretty average. Seaby also looked very good In that package, and White looked ok. One of those two will surely come in to face Freo, perhaps both.

Thanks for alerting me to that package, I can't believe I missed it. TDL's chase and tackle on the halfback line was very encouraging. Armstrong's dashes from defence are exciting to watch, we definitely need an injection of that as only Shaw has that quality in the back 6 at the moment.

I believe Armstrong could be The One.

I see LRT's 150th game has got a big plug on the club website, eliminating the faint possibility that he might have been dropped. With Seaby likely to get a run, we will be very tall indeed, though I'm not sure if I follow the logic of having lots of pretty big guys to counter one extremely big guy.

Or is it because our forward entries are so wayward that we figure that with four bigs one of them is bound to catch it?

Played half back a couple of times last year and did it quite well. Horse was trying to give him a bit of exposure to the back half. He was not tagging but playing back flank is a little like tagging except you don't cover as much of the ground. I reckon he can play on Fyfe and at least break even.

He has a back injury Nico but the point is the same. You are right in that he won't get a run with role because he is unlikely to play at this stage. He is only joining the main group for training on Thursday and that tells me he is unlikely.

Harry was very involved in the Resies package too. I loved TDL's run and tackle, his pace and aggression were great. Armstrong's delivery is spot perfect. Love to see Seabs kicking goals. Harry's two passes to Walsh were great and what I liked was Walsh was in the right posie on the lead to swallow them.
