Truth be told it's probably pretty high. He knows exactly what he's doing and the rules allow him to get away with it. If memory serves he got right under Reg's nose last year with the desired result (free kick in front of goal). I'm sure every coach tells their players to ignore him but he's obviously so good at it that he gets them riled anyway. He probably feeds off being booed and jeered too.

After vision of Chapman throwing up (and the bloke is as hard and feisty as a rottweiller) and the fact that the ump was heard noting the off the ball incident for referral, I don't think we will have much angst about Ballantyne for this game.

I think we will need to play two real ruckmen this week, so if Seaby comes in he will need to spend time up forward. A forward line including both LRT and Seaby doesn't fill me with confidence and TDL must not play as a unsupported FF again, it was just sad when the Swans tried it. However if we plonk Seaby in the goal square with instruction to make as many contests as possible perhaps TDL could be included at the expense of Everitt?

I didn't think we could afford to play 4 tall defenders for fear of being too top heavy, but if one of those defenders was capable of playing as a 3rd tall up forward (AJ? Reg?) then perhaps we don't need to drop LRT. we'd be far too slow, but perhaps we need a third tall up forward then perhaps AJ or Grundy?

        OUT Everitt, Parker
        IN Seaby, TDL

Of course this is on the provision that Parker, Shaw, O'Keefe and Spanky are unavailable. I saw Lamb play better early last year so I think another week in the 2's for him and surely Armstrong will need more games under his belt?

Chapman can be seen throwing up earlier in the game, so he may have had a problem on the day. There appears little doubt something happened and the Geelong players reaction, as well as history, would suggest Ballantyne was central to it, but I suspect the vomiting was not solely caused by anything that occured in the off the ball incident.

It will be interesting when the MRP findings are released today...

He also got into a bit of a rumble with Benny McGlynn, had him pinned against the fence.

If he does play I say we all blow him kisses and provide smiling positive words of encouragement - that's sure to put the little grub off his game!!!

I dont think we need to bring Seaby in. Mumford can go with Sandilands. May not win the comp, but will put up much more fight that the geelong kid did.

The days of playing two ruckmen are well and truely over.

I'd like to see J White come in, He's in my supercoach team and is earning me no points being in the 2's.

A Mumford/White ruck combo will do ok against Sandilands/???

Not really a valid or compelling argument.

Seaby or White HAS to come in, and O'keefe and Shaw. So that means Everitt and Cunningham miss out and if a it has to be a 3rd to be dropped.....LRT or Hanneberry(before you start laying into me, check his numbers against GWS)
I couldn't see Hanners being omitted.

7th in B&F last year..had surgery in offseason and shortened pre season.

Always in best 22, and easing back into form. Players at his level run themselves into form on the paddock. Also had another run in the Ressies at the weekend.

After all, the day before that, a team with two ruckmen had just won the premiership . . . again :-)

Cant have Seaby as the number 2 ruckman resting in the forward pocket. Too slow and little recovery from a contest to be able to apply any forward pressure. Too slow for a backline position. Best for him is to be rotated off the bench.

I too have my reservations vis-a-vis Seaby in that regard. So just like playing LRT in the ruck it's a trade off, I'd certainly not something I'd consider at Subiaco, but at the SCG maybe it's worth the gamble against a team that plays 2 rucks.
In any case I am pretty certain the Swans will not select a player of any kind that will spend 70-80 minutes on the interchange bench (unless they're wearing a vest).

Ok so White gets to play on Clarke does he? Clarke really hurt the Cats when he went forward. He is the second ruck Barry. By the way all the top sides play two Hawks, Eagles, now Adelaide who are really firing, Dockers and the list is almost full. Clarke is 203cm and 100kg. We need Seabs as White hasn't proved any benefit in the past or pre-season.

I have seen Seabs play on Sandilands when he was at the Eagles in a defensive role in the BP. He was quite good so could fill that role if needed.
