Oh good, twenty pages and its Thursday night. Three days of angst to go.

Don't have much of a problem with Drey being in. He is not a Great footballer, but he is a reasonable one and getting better. I think that if the coaches think there is something there, then perhaps there is. Give him the benefit of the doubt. He has acquired a pretty good motor.

It should be noted that Kirky was a fringe player for a few years, and that I was calling for Macca's blood for a couple of years and Reg's too, and Jude looked like an overexcited pup for a couple of years, Goodsey was not all that impressive to start with, Ted could barely get a gig, Hawthorn didn't want Joey. We have a few terrific kids in the team this year. But it has been the exception to the rule. They are way ahead of the usual pack. And aren't we lucky.

The forecast is for partly cloudy & light winds. Ok that was the forecast last week too and it rained like hell. I hope it doesn't rain but I also hope the Easter Bilby doesn't become extinct too. Let us sat Ernie good luck to all of us to get a good weather game. But quite frankly I am hoping for a wet and windy SCG gum factory because I know we will kill them.

I was just looking at the line up for next week. What a joke! Everitt on the back flank? Parks on the bench? What bull! Jesse will play! Unless Mal is injured he will also play.

Everitt's retention puzzles me too.
I wonder why TDL is still on Horses @@@@ list? It looked to me that he had been mending his tackle-shy lazy-arsed ways with some good performances in the 2's ~ what am I missing?
Just a thought, with the exeption of Pike, I think this is the tallest possible 22 we could select atm. Are we going to try to stretch them in the air?

Haven't you learnt yet? The named positions have little relevence as to where they will play. Accentuating your outrage with !!!!!'s is a waste of a keystroke or three.

Unlike last year, it appears we can't even rely on the sub coming from the named 4 bench players with both Incy and Hanners filling that spot the past 2 games even tho they were named in the 18...

Very one sided way of looking at it, as you quote a few players who have made it, when there are many, many more who haven't.

The point is, we have players in the reserves who will offer more both short and long term. Cunningham, TDL, Nipper, Walsh, Lamb and Armstrong are all players I would rather see over Everitt.

Everitt will be the sub again this week and then banished to the reserves to pick up 'match fitness'

Roos have Macintosh, Petrie and Goldstein in their team, all 200cm players, and Edwards is no shorty either.

As our game plan is based on the under 8's
36 players around the ball.

But we have a new game plan that is so different that they probably don't like it too much. The long kick is going to trouble them especially in the wet. They like the sides that play short and pick and match like Cats! They are not too happy with sides that confront and hassle them and play long.

By the way I believe Everitt has done enough to retain his place. Let it be known that some players don't have to go through the resies to get a game! Why!!!! I don't care if you are Adam Goodes or Luke Parker, if you are short on match practice get it in the 2's not in my AFL side! Pick match fit players please!!! ROK & Shaw were not match fit when picked!!! How dare anyone say Shaw beat Hill as Hill had 18 posies at 83% and Rhyce had 10 at 90%. But I don't see how we won that except Hill didn't kick a bag of goals. But he doesn't do that every week anyway but sets them up like he did against us that week. When they were on a roll he was in the thick of it in the third!

Rhyce had better be fit and ready to take on Bomber Harvey because he is a new entity this year. That is going to be his man without Smithy!!! But who is going to take Wells? Who is to take Thomas? They have a lot of talls too!

Goldstien, MacIntosh, Petrie & Hansen are all tall targets as well as having that pest Edwards running around.

We can and should beat this mob but remember; Never take anyone for granted

I think you confusing BOOMER with his brother Shane who played for Essendon.

By they way i would give Rhyce the win in the battle between Hill

Of course yr right. It was just one of those things that when Reid, Parker AJ, and Hanners played their first few games, everyone knew, or at least it was evident to me, that these were ready made players, raised our expectations a bit high I suppose. With a lot of players, it's not until they get a regular gig in the top side that you can see them filling a role in teh side and getting into the whole team thing

That depends on your definition of a shorty really, From some perspectives 184cm's is a convenient height to rest ones beer.
