He seemed to run the game out well last week but only the coaches will know if he met all his KPI's and how he pulled up. From the outside it would be a risk to take a player with this limited preparation into an AFL game...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Probably no to both. Might be a wet game, so Tommy probably isn't ideal, while a dry day might encourage a midfielder type like Harry instead of TDL. I'm not too sure how much his forward pressure has improved, but certainly North will go into the game trying to run us off our feet and play on with every chance. We need to make sure our intensity and tackling pressure is up as M_B mentioned so that might work against him?Comment

ROK has had three games off and had a light pre-season as he had a couple of niggles as well. Didn't play in the Intra. Got injured in the NAB and is still in recovery and not match fit.Comment

Nor has ROK Ernie. Fact Armstrong has played all of the resies games. You got it wrong! The resies game against the GWS was cancelled, a pre-season match not a fixture. They then played the first match against GWS, then a trial against GWS again, the Suns and Ainslie. He has played all the games from the GWS Trial game. That makes three as far as I
Armstrong has been in the system many years fewer and missed practically the whole pre-season with injury. The fitness base he will have built over the last month or so of training and playing reserves footy isn't comparable to that ROK would have built over 2 to 3 months of solid training leading up to Christmas and just after.Comment

What liz said.
Would be surprised not to see Bulldog in the mix for this week. Smart head, not fast, slow track, good decision maker.
IMHO, ROK to CHF. Nipper in for ROK, and/or Doggy.
Keep Andrejs (or Drey, as the boys call him) but as sub; he doesn't like it and keeps working to prove he is better utilised as a 21 team member.
If Benny is out, I wouldn't mind seeing Dylan McNeil get a gig but TDL has Got to be in the mix.
Armstrong just has not played enough yet in number of game time hours due to preseason injury etc, to get a call up over other players who are just as good and have managed a full pre season of match seasoning (you know what I mean, ignore the english).
It will be interesting to see how this all pans out. Especially with a wet track. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

The last player who should come in if it is wet is TDL. He has shown that he is a soft player and a wet day would be too much for him. Moore is far too slow, and in an era when forward pressure is a must his lack of pace relegates him to a reserves player. He doesn't get enough of the footy in the 1's.Comment

According to the BoM it'll be wet from now on, which means we should have less worry about Petrie/Goldsmith/McIntosh which is good. On the other hand we are crap in the wet, we are so bad I sometimes wonder whether we should abandon the Swans emblem (God I hope no humourless sod sees that as a serious suggestion and decides to question my club loyalties again).
So Smith and LRT are still out, and with Armstrong unready?!?!
I suggest we include TDL instead of Drey, and bring Stumpy or Cunningham in for Goodes, let's go small in the cold and rain (I tend to)Comment

Regardless of reserves form Morton might get a gig. Bigger body on a wet day.Comment

I thought ressies watchers had been pumping up TDL's improved defensive pressure, tacklnig etc. ? That coupled with his knack for a goal and his skills would make him as good a candidate as any to come into the team. Moore is too slow, the wet will only make him slower, and as you mentoned he deosnt get enough of the balls in the 1's.Comment
