Armstrong looked slow. Not ready yet. For a game against the Hawks I would bring in Jarred Moore and keep Armstrong as the sub. Goodes and Moore in. Mummy and Smith will not play for mine. Everitt arguably deserves another game after his efforts on the weekend - said elsewhere but best AFL game ever - but against Hawks?????? White has heard the cackle. He is trying real hard."Play like you can’t lose."Comment

And if speed is a concern, why would Moore be top of the list. It could just be a straight swap of Goodes for Rohan. But if they want to bring in another player as a mid-sized, speedy half forward, Cunningham is the closest thing we have in Rohan's absence. That would probably mean Everitt being dropped, which I doubt will happen after his best game for the club (albeit still not a brilliant one).Comment

The more I think about it, the more I realise how important this game is to the context of our season. If we win or get very close, be prepared cause we will have arrived as a premiership contender. No doubt. If we lose in the same manner we lost to Hawthorn last year, we'll fade back into obscurity and again get the 'solid but not threatening' tag.
My biggest gripe last year was that our mids got absolutely pantsed when it counted. All they needed was a quick clearance and kick to Buddy one-on-one to annihilate us. I hope Horse gets the boys fired up again, because if our intent and intensity isn't there a loss awaits. We need to put lots of pressure, do all the one-percenters. Then it will be a matter of crossing our fingers and toes and hoping our skills, goal accuracy and free kick count is respectable.
Big, big game.Comment

I hope mummy can be fit for this one. If mummy is fit.
In: Goodes, Mumford
Out: Seaby, RohanLRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Hopefully, hopefully, Mumford can play. It will be a big boost to us if he does.Comment

Mummy will come in if fit, I wouldn't be risking him yet if he's not 100%, bad back flying to tassie and all, and Smith for Armstrong if fit, maybe as the sub or move Everitt back to the bench. We'll need our best taggers this week, although the Hawks were hardly impressive against wet toast. I think our inside mids can get over the Hawks, my concern, aside from Buddy matchup, is banging it forward and finding a marking option. Hope Sammy comes good with his hands this week. Obviously Goodes comes in for Rohan, poor buggerYou can't argue with a sick mind - Joe WalshComment

Wrote this on the wrong thread so I'll try again....
Horse hinted at both Smith and LRT coming into the squad , which means some unlucky outs .... so I guess that means:
In : Goodes , Smith, LRT
out : Rohan, Armstrong, White
Armstrong did OK for his first senior game for the Swans but, at this stage with Mal and Shaw playing well...theres no room for him...It won't hurt him to have a few more games in the 2's.
White played well and will be a bit stiff IF LRT takes his spot.
Everitt back to Sub, also a bit stiff, he also had a very good game.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment
