At one stage they mentioned Kennedy was 2nd highest possession getter, but had mentioned his name only a couple of times during their ball by ball. What a self centred pair "special' and Commetti are!

McAvaney is the worst commentator on FTA at the moment. Classic a couple of weeks ago was the comment "They were both going for the same ball". Really....it's a soprt.....who would've thought?????

I actually thought Tom Harley was pretty good geting things back on track whilst those other two idiots just prattled on about nothing for most of the game.

Kirk was syrpurisingly good, given how bad he was doing media conferences as captain of the club.

Cometti is actually a good caller but he loses the plot with the inane chatter with Bruce.

They should have a cold shower before games and can the mutual admiration society they've got going and concentrate on calling footy.

AGree - Cometti is the only AFL commentator with any wit. Bruce needs to be put out to grass.

My commentators' highlight was Swallow's injury. The North Melbourne captain in distress for 20 seconds before being carried off, but not important enough to disrupt the flow of conversation.

There was a passage of play where North were attacking and there was huge pressure..we managed to diffuse it but it was all missed because Dennis and Bruce were talking about something else.

Bruce and Dennis should not team up. Bruce tries really hard to be witty and Dennis well his stuff is scripted these days.

Can't wait until we end up with BT again. The worst of the worst.

Bruce's commentary makes me want to bang my head against a brick wall. I CANNOT STAND HIM. I would say he is the worst AFL commentator at the moment, closely followed by Brian Taylor who almost but not quite talks as much crap as Bruce, but can never seem to remember any of the players names (at least swans ones).

Overall I agree with the criticism on this thread ... but I did chuckle at Commetti at one point when he was praising the Swan's recruiting prowess ...

"Hugh Hefner has to be the best, but the Swan's must rank a close second"

That was pretty clever.

I think they need to rethink on BT though, he's hopeless. He can get away with wrong names on the radio but tv he can't. Was very poor on friday night. Kept confusing Burgoyne and Gibson. I find them easy to tell apart.

That comment was definitely written before the game! And BT commented @ one stage that Buddy "flies for it" and it was actually GUNSTON! How can you not tell the difference?

Since BT came to 7, I long to hear Dennis. And even Bruce. The GWS game commentary was awful: who did he keep calling Jetta? Smith or someone equally ridiculous.

The man is a great illustration of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Nope - far superior in my opinion to the rubbish dished up by 7!

I have found the answer, Richie Benaud to do teh commentary, maybe with Bill, ITS ALL HAPPENING!!!!!!
