is gone. Ask Hally a few years ago.

Wont be the same for the rest of the year unfortunately.

And at 32 it will take longer to heal.

    Thats the sad reality.
Goodes has only missed 7 games over his whole career.

    He is a freak.

Even lonmire said he has a unique ability to heal quickly.

      Bugger.

I blame Ted Richards (have to blame someone, might as well be Ted - and me actually - I parked behind him in the car park on Saturday night, obviously its all my fault, my apologies to everyone, especially Goodsey)

Seriously, this may prove to be a blessing in disguise.

We now have little choice but to find out once and for all about Jesse, or find out about Walsh, or maybe see how TDL performs out of the goalsquare, or if Morton can finally find a spot. Whichever way we decide to go, for Gods sake give them a month to either prove they are up to it or not.....

That would be the sad reality if we were talking about a mere mortal, but its Goodsey we are talking about here. You just watch him come back and rip 'em to shreds when he does....

A chance for Tommy I reckon....

Agree, also there does come a time where we do have to start thinking about life after goodsey. I dont want to even think about it right now, but as freakish as he is/has been he may start to get more injuries as he comes to an end. In saying that he could easily have another 3-4 years playing out of the goalsquare, but we need to also find out who can step up in his absence and this is the chance.

very exciting opportunity for our coaching staff more more importantly some of our fringe players to rise up !

its now your watch Tommy Walsh, Andrejs Everitt, Jessie White - stand and deliver

no Rohan, No Goodes, No Mummy ........but we have great depth and a game plan we can cope with and deliver very well week in week out !

Like others have said, here's our chance to prove we have the depth we've been claiming.

On the other hand: Goodesy! aww, poo.

Had he known the extent of the injury, he should have whacked a bloke on his way off and got rid of those carry-over points at the MRP!

I find getting kicked in the quads is no where near as bad.

Could be a different winner for the TLM this year ...

I can't hardly remember when ... there has always been a goodsy in the game.. or in the paper because he was reported.. Agree that it is a good time to test the depth. (well better than in September)

I'm so disappointed - for Adam, for us as a team, and for me as a spectator. I love watching Goodes play and admire him as a person. So hope his rehab goes well and he is back fully recovered within the six weeks.

Awful news. But, if we are to be a genuine force this season, this will be a great test for the rest of the team (just look how good The Weagles are going with a bunch of high quality players out). We need to stand tall, work hard as a team and as a whole make up for the absence of Goodesy. It could break our season, but if the boys work hard, it could also make our season. 6 weeks off now for Goodesy might make the next 6 weeks tough, but it might give him that little bit extra come the pointy end of the season - and who knows one moment of brilliance from him could be the difference between a good season and a great season.

Time for the rest of the team to stand up and be counted. Get well soon Goodesy!
