Everyone that's been bleating about bringing back White happy now? Remind me how many points he contributed to the scoreboard tonight? Or how many tackles he laid? Or now many chase downs you saw him do? Managed to give away his usual free kicks though.
Business as usual then. Said it before-not only does he contribute nothing, he has a heart the size of a pea.
Pathetic.Comment

I thought that TDL provided us with something different in the last quarter - a lead up forward. I was frustrated by how often the tiger forwards were found on a lead while ours were having to contend with bombs. Trent straightened us up and our mids found him. The game was done by then but it looked better.
And on that topic, why have a forward as a sub? I don't understand, unless it was because he is a leading forward and they thought their backs would tire?
Also, I said before the hawks game that we don't spread as well as other teams but others disagreed with me. I still maintain that a team that spreads well will cut us to pieces.
And one other thing - did anyone else notice how many times they smothered our kicks? It was the best I have seen for a long time.Comment

Where Our goals came from:
Kennedy 2, Mid, one of the few who plays everyweek, although he was down a bit today. Wasn't alone there.
Dennis-Lane, Fwd, Sub only played 1 and a bit qtrs
Everitt, Utility, spent almost as much time on the pine as on the ground.
Grundy, Back, Desparate move to generate some score, worked once.
Hannebery, Mid, a brilliant pick up and goal.
McGlynn, fwd, one of his effective disposals
Seaby, Ruck, Lucky free kick, and lucky to be a goal.
2 goals to fwds and 1 was barely on the ground.
Very sad state of affairs.Comment

The Swans have never got over 2006.
We got beaten by 1 point and fluffed 5 or 6 shots to get in front in the last quarter.
But to win 1 in 15 games since then is a joke! Its all psychological. We play well at Subi, Aurora etc, they are big grounds.
When it comes to the MCG we get spooked every time and until we snag a game there, we will never win another flag.
As for the Tiges, I live in Melbs and the hype and support for them is off the scale here, the commentary today was sickening,
But when you have 40,000 members and you have only been in the finals twice in 30 years, you will always get home advantage from the umps.
Well done today but Tigers wont make 8 in my opinion.
And the Swans? Painful to watch.
I can think of 5 players that had a crack.
TDL has his probs but at least he is a genuine goalkicker.
Everitt,Mcglynn,Reid,White?? WTF?? Our forward line is non existent.
Melbourne is a danger game based on our performance today.Comment

What does the coach have against Nipper? The kid can kick goals."First understand, then criticize; not the other way round!"Comment

having watched the first quarter again, i do wonder whether the set ups really cost us. we were constantly under pressure in the back half, we really need to make a decision about the constant handpassing in the back pocket when there simply are so many players on top of us going so incredibly hard. maybe we simply need to go a bit simpler and kick to the wing and leave enough players on the spot to make the contest. as it was we seemed to kick out from behinds to that spot but had less players at the drop iof the ball and they had too much pressure on this. we have to kill the contests on the wing if we are under that level of pressure.
horrible to watch a second time around.Comment

I have no idea other than when he is up the field his kicking is not so good. I like him sitting in goal and just leading out like the Tony Modra style FF. He does that really well and I think he could do it for the A's as well as the 2's!Comment

Just thinking then, did anyone else see the nahas tackle on smith I think it was where he threw his head straight into the ground. No free kick given, which suggests the umpires have forgotten sling tackles so they could focus on sliding, but surely he'll be reported for it.. thoughts?Comment

Our 1st quarters have been horrible for three games in a row, should have put us completely out of the game in those three games but somehow we managed to weasel our ways to get back close but it cost us today, it cost us big time when we were 6 goals down at the first quarter break i couldn't see us coming back. If we had of played like we did between 2nd and 4th we would have won. Also the umpiring was terrible for both sides most notably richmonds mark in the first quarter and the tackle on the wing from the swans on who i think was daniel jackson after he tried to break through two swans.Comment

Complete and utter rubbish from Sydney in the first and last quarters, not much better in the second. One quarter of average football that had me hoping at 3/4 time that we might snatch a win that we didnt deserve. Looking up at the stats on the scoreboard during each break I could hardly believe what I was seeing. Swans fans in Melbournme who waited 7 weeks to finally see their team deserved better. All Swans fans deserved better. A shameful performance.Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment
