        OUT OKeefe, Seaby, Everitt
        IN Morton, Pyke, Spangher

ROK has not not done a thing for almost 2 years, seems he is simply going thru the motions its time the club made a stand and dropped a big time player on their form and not kept
them in the side on reputation
Seaby, id like to see him used more as a forward option but the truth is he is in the side as a ruck man and he hasnt delivered what we need
Everitt, i just dont know what to do with the kid
if your head is made out of chocolate dont stand out in the sun

You have to earn the right to play for this great team and I'm glad the coaching staff don't give out 'go's' like other loser teams do. We are better than that.

Our salvation doesn't lie in the Reserves. The great majority of our 22 that lost today are the ones that will make or break our season.

ROK was ordinary yesterday, and in his first game of the season, when he was clearly struggling for match fitness. But he's been one of our better players in the other four games he's played. For a start he's been almost the only player clunking the odd mark inside forward 50 and reliably converting. Goodes and JPK are the only other two I can think of who have been doing this with regularity this year.

Very true, I guess after a loss like that, which probably had to happen sooner or later, everyone is looking for a reason. If we put the same 22 on the park next week they might well play like millionaires. We probably shouldn't start these threads until wednesday when people have had a chance to calm down lol. We have to face the fact that we are not going to match up well on every team, and not going to win every game. I still believe that pace is lacking and with a few of our senior players coming to the end of their careers, we should take the opportunity, with Goodes out, to try a few youngsters like Harry to add a bit of zip, and show a bit of faith in players like Jesse and TDL, that they have the ability to step up, just need those few games to get up to speed
You can't argue with a sick mind - Joe Walsh

Bird is currently leading the tackle count in the afl, not too poor an attribute to warrant selection no matter what else he brings or doesnt bring to the table
Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

Dennis Lane, playing a quarter or so had 4 tackles. He also had two shots on goal. Should have started on the field, and will this week. Walsh for White perhaps, Pyke for Seaby ( the bloke is tiring which is understandable) maybe Cunningham, Morton, Moore (1 of) for Mcglynn.

Everitt and Seaby must go, they are liabilities to the team. Surely tommy walsh or mitch morton would be better forward options than everitt. Im just confused with reid, if he is not 100% fit then why is he in the team?? I would be inclined to give him a spell in the reserves just to get some fitness, form and confidence back as he is giving us nothing at the moment. ROK is near finished in my opinion, too slow, id be surprised if he continues next year. We can turn all this around though, im sure at the start of the year the club would of taken 5-2 after 7 rounds but boy do we have to do something about the forward line, oh and our record at the G aswell!

He also did 2 passes to mcglynn and kennedy to set up goals. the 2 shots on goal he had were from 2 good leads. He knows where to run to as a forward and was unlucky not to have anouther shot on goal but for a bad bounce.

Nipper for Everitt and TDL to start with McGlynn as the sub. Any more than that and the coaching panel will look like they are panicking. I think White will get another go but if he is just as bad against the Dees, then Walsh may make his debut in two weeks.
As I said in an earlier post, our forward line will look a lot different with TDL leading, which will force the mids to lower their eyes and spot him. Instead of bombing it long and hoping Reid can conjure a miracle against the 2-3 defenders who will be linking arms with him, they will have an alternative entry method. This should suit players like Jack and Jetts more with their delivery, as well.

I can't believe people are calling for Bird to be dropped, obviously these people have never played the game has more football instincts than Jesse White has in his big toe.

Mcglynn obviously not fit and it's really starting to show in his performances, White he is just a spud full stop, doesn't know where to run and Everitt is not much better Reid needs a rest and so does Seaby, but I cant see 5 changes

In Walsh Nipper Morton LRT (if fit) or Pyke
                          Out Mcglynn Reid White Everitt

Mcglynn and Reid just need a rest to get there bodies right

Don't mind the idea of Mcglynn being Sub if he is to stay in

Out: ROK for a guy who is on a $400k per year contract, he is playing rubbish footy.....
                              Reid no confidence whatsoever..

In: Morton he is ready and basically learning nothing in a deplorable reserve comp
Walsh - time to see what he is made of......

                                Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster etc.

I think those having a crack at ROK for last night are being a bit harsh. He was forced to play as the loose man behind the ball for the entire second half. I thought all our back 6 really stood up given how badly we were smashed up the ground. They can only repel so many thrusts forward, and ROK going third man up helped us get back into the game. AJ, Mattner and Smith in particular had a real crack I thought.

Being at the game last night one thing that stood out was how makeshift our forward set up was without Goodes. McVeigh, Jude, ROK all spent time deep forward. I think we need to play a genuine permanent forward, whether that be TDL or Morton as a small. Makeshifts like Dre just not cutting it.

For the Dees? Pyke if fit to ruck has to come in for Seaby, even on the SCG. Seabs is just not mobile enough and doesn't offer anything around the ground. I remember McGlynn hitting him inside 50 lace out, but the big fella just didn't attack the footy and it was cut off. LRT for White, similar reasons, offers more around the ground. One of Walsh/Morton for Everitt, depending on if we go tall or small, although Morton can play tall if need be. Reidy will continue to play as he builds his training up, just needs a chop out and others to take defenders off him.
