Not sure I'd bet money on Jude retiring this year. While it would be nice to have Cloke, a big bodied forward is what we a re lacking right now. I doubt we have room in teh cap for such a pricey player. We might be better off recruiting younger anyway

If he leaves the pies..Eddie will hunt him down and ruin him.

For that, he is staying at the pies.

And he collects $5 bills..i mean come on! I bet he plays with his mecano set as well!

Oh sorry, just realised you were talking about the Swans....

Fixing the lack of our spread is soooo easy if you think about it. Simply put Everitt and Morton on the wings - they are always 100m away from any contests - and the opposition will never find them.

              LOL

Dropping White and Everitt has fixed 2 of our biggest problems.

we made them look good !
Sorry but they looked good because they were good. They were better than us at the contested ball and then when it was loose they were better there too. We were outflanked by them! Just worried when the coach admits he has no idea why we didn't play as we should have? I know! And I am a 55 year old who played district footy! I think every Swans supporter who has watched the replay knows! Clever manoeuvres win games! Hardwick was clever and our lot didn't wake up until too late every time he pulled a new move on them! He was dictating and they were reacting! Better to dictate than react!

I agree with Everitt being dropped but White I think is a little unlucky!

Morton seems to be finding the contest in the 2's 18 goals in the last 2!

I didn't see last week so can't comment and the week before he was ordinary in the 1st half and had a reasonable second half. He's s loooong way off senior football at the moment.

Didn't he kick 10 in that game? Nipper kicked 10 too? Why isn't Nipper considered for Seniors? Pissed off big time!

Our major problem Al is we don't have a head and spread forward set up! That also drives the back half believe it or not. If I had a good forward to kick to or a group of them then the ball would move quicker out of the back half and set up forward momentum. This has happened in a few matches this season but the majority of goals have been kicked by mids! Jetts, Joey etc!

You have spies in match commitee Wolftone?? How else would you know if Nipper isn't being considered??

I have made this argument before and I'll make it again. In the NEAFL the coaches have to take in account a lot more than just goal tallies in assessing a players readiness for senior football. TDL is a classic example. He demonstrated last year that impressive goal tallies in the reserves didn't translate to senior success. As a result he has worked incredibly hard on his game and IMO is a better footballer for it.

Yes but I have seen most games this season and Nipper has been pretty good but for his disposal when they played him back. He was ok until they put him in the back half. I think he has done heaps and come along nicely. He is a Modra style player who takes a great mark or leads for a strong mark. He is a great kick! Sorry Al but he is not in the team that was announced so I would think he wasn't considered otherwise he would be in the team! Oh! I forgot he may be considered and not in the team! How stupid of me! Wow! Ok then I will rephrase, why the @@@@ isn't he getting a game!

Our midfield switching off and our forward line are our biggest issues. Speed is not IMO, and even if it is, it's not something we are able to fix at this point in time ( who have we got besides Cunningham who has any speed In the reserves ?) . If we can considerably improve the forward line with the right personal ( as well as the delivery into) and address the midfield lapses, we won't be taking about speed I don't believe.
I forced myself to watch the game again, not easy, but clearly, teh Tigers ran around and thru our blokes with raw pace. So many missed tackles because our blokes were slower, tigers first to the ball, because we were slow, it was just so blatant at times, Jets ran one down and got a HTB but in general play we just couldn't catch them. If we had won the ball in tight and got clean clearances the game might have been different. When we play CArlton, we'll have to play man on amn and hope to win teh 50/50 ball
