Rightfully so too. Both should be a walk up start for AA selection if it was held now.

Except that Jetta is not playing as a small forward.

Annoying that despite jumping on the Jetta bandwagon they can't get his position right. He is as genuine a wingman as they come. Breaks lines, roams the wings, lots of inside 50s, score assists and long-range running goals.

He doesn't plonk himself in the forward line waiting for cheapies, standing at the front of the pack for the ball drop or make the contested plays that result in quick snaps.

I was going to say......... he's not Cyril, he's a midfielder, small forward indeed, that's almost insulting to Jetts

LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Let me say that it was to do with his exceptional speed in the forward line, that he makes forward opportunities, that he is far superior to what Cyril Rioli will ever be and he is one of the elite small players in the competition. There was no other category in which he would fit, so Alves wanted to get him into the list.

This is so typical of some people on this site, they are so paranoid that the Melbourne media is out to get "The Swans" that they cannot accept a compliment when it is given.

Jetta is the top scoring little man in the league, many oif the Melbourne media are impressed with where he is at the moment, take the compliment, or play semantics and just whinge about it, the choice is yours. I prefer to take the compliment.

If anyone's gotten ansty its you. Jetta's exceptional speed is used on the wing going forward. That doesn't make him a 'small forward'. He's a midfielder and it is disingenuous to suggest that anything he does is remotely similar to Cyril. There are very different in their gamestyles with only their evasiveness and speed in common. There is really no need to compare the two.

Jetta is the top scoring midfielder in the league. He may be smaller in stature, but to associate him as one of the 'scoring little men in the league' is bizarre which was the point many of us were making. If Dan Hannebery had Jetta's goal tally do you really think he would be considered a small forward?

Get a grip. Nobody was being paranoid or trying to be a smartarse. It was just a factually incorrect statement that we all picked up on.

He's having a great season, but those blue boots have to go! Last night was the first time I've watched a game in a while, and I couldn't take my eyes off them.

A couple of points. I did not bring Rioli into this GongSwan did, that's why I mentioned he was nowhere near as good as Jetta.

Secondly, Jetta is the top scoring small man in the league, a look at the goal scoring table will show you that.

Thridly, I wasn't having a go at you, just someone who picks faults in almost anything I say or quote from the press.

Last, check out "The Inquisition" from ABC radio at This link to see exactly what was said. there is an interview with Keiren Jack at about the 24 minute mark, and and Stan Alves talking about his best players at about the 65-70 minute mark. In the Jack interview he talks about both Ted and Jetta. It may help put my comments in perspective. Whately also believes we are a top 4 side this year.

Ted was interviewed last week shown in the dogs game, the blue(purple) boots are staying, according to Ted. He likes them and feels comfortable, play on...........
