Love your work, but already tried doing the Gold Coast and Melbourne half marathons this year hungover, trashed and with no sleep.
Let me assure you the pain starts around the 1km when you wake up; and then get progressively worst as you complete 21kms!
When we reach the GF, that the time to let loose!

$63.50 (silver) for a family of 4 isn't too bad, though I'm not suggesting a trip to the footy is very cheap, especially when you consider food prices. Thankfully transport is included and when you take that into account it isn't so bad.

I'd suggest that for many of the 50 000 expected to come this will be one of the few games they will have attended this season. For most people (casuals) the footy isn't a biweekly expense so splurging at little for a saturday isn't that big of a deal. Personally, I think a bit much is made of the expenses involved with going to the footy.

You can take your own food to ANZ, DLBIA14. Cheaper that way.

I always look forward to sporting events at Homebush. It's been a definite advantage for hosting major sporting events in Sydney.

But I understand that SCG members would not like the competition after enjoying an effective monopoly for so long.

Any idea what time the members bar opens?
Also is it possible to bring match attending non members up?

Which is the member's bar? I never get there with time to spare but might on Saturday. Might I see a few RWO folk there? Scott - are you coming up?

I like ANZ although it is a little harder for me to get to. I like being able to watch the game from the members bar if I wish. It isn't about drinking it means we can have our friends all together to watch the game otherwise they would be all over the park. We all have different memberships. There is nothing like it at SCG now. I like the Villi's pies, hate the hotdogs, like the other food but a bit expensive. All food at the footy is expensive no matter where you go. The drinks are just about on par price wise. I think there is a pretty good atmosphere there. At the moment I have to be frank and say the SCG experience is not great with the stand gone. The ground leaks atmosphere unfortunately. I love the SCG when all is in tact but not now and the gap causes a definite draft!!!

There's a member recognition function on in the Swans Members' bar from 5.30, so I guess it'll be open then. I'm not sure what time that function finishes and the general punter Swans' Member is allowed in though. I'll be there from 5.30 though.

My understanding is that it's one member's badge, one entry but they let punters from the Stadium Membership area just wander in (which p*sses me off no end because that allows Collingwood supporters in). I'll message you Snarky and let you know what's happening there anyway.

The Swans Members' bar is near Aisle 126. I won't be wearing an RWO name badge but I'l certainly be there!

We have repeated that failure more often at ANZ but I think that is more to do with Collingwood having the wood on us.

Since 2000 we have lost to Collingwood 16 times and won 4 times.

7 of those losses have been at ANZ,

                            1 at SCG

                            2 at Etihad

                            2 at MCG.

We have played them 9 times at ANZ

                            3 times at MCG
3 times at Etihad and 1 at SCG.

We have also won 2 at ANZ against this mob so we can beat them there.

We don't have a win record in the last 12 years against them on any ground. It doesn't matter where we play them we still have to beat them no matter what. It is time to put the colliwobbles back. We need to win this one if we are to win a premiership.

Agreed but Silver is sold out and it seems like they made a lot of seats fall in the Gold category... $63.50 is well priced for a family but only if u can buy such tiks. I'm not bothered personally but i reckon it'll scare off potential new fans who don't normally come which is a shame. My Gold seats are pretty much regular seats, nothing particularly fancy about them.

If you have to buy Platinum or Gold it is really expensive. It is $160 for a family and it all depends on qualifying for discounts and could go as low as $128. Gold family is $99 but if they qualify for discounts as low as $79. But the killer is the Adult lone tickets $89 & 46 but if there is a discount Gold as low as $37 but this is still quite a bit more than GA at $29.50. There still seem to be GA tickets available.
