His determination has never been questioned. He has worked hard in reserves, the area of disposals has improved greatly.

      I agree Nipper has worked very hard and is playing very well or should I say the last time I saw him he played well. Form all reports he is still playing well as of last week. But the problem now is;

      1) Will Reid come back this week?

      2) Will Pykie be fit?

      3) Do we look at Morton & Armstrong as well.

Dane Swan not playing is interesting and so is also Tyson Goldsack as he has been very good for them. They get Tarrant back but if he can't play back then I believe he is a waste. Didak also comes back but I think we have a player who has got his measure. To play Tarrant in the forward line while he gets used the pace again is ok against the lower teams. Against us I think we will expose their backs without him there and he is not a great forward option as he kicks very badly.

Swan is being replaced I would presume by Didak who is lazy and not a real mid more a half forward type. Goldsack who can pinch hit and has proved really good when forward this year is going to be a big loss as well. Tarrant if back might free someone else up but in the forward line he is just taking up space.

I think its a contest between Nipper and Armstrong for Bolton's spot. Nipper almost as a direct replacement as a midfield forward with McGlynn moving more to the middle to compensate for hardness or I could see Nipper as the sub. If Armstrong came in, I think Smith to move up the ground and tag Pendlebury or Beams and Armstrong take that half back role. If Morton was to come in it would be as a direct replacement for TDL. I cant see us playing both Morton and TDL, no matter how much I'd like that.
In saying that I think Armstrong will get the run over Nipper as he's had more senior experience, but then again Nipper was the travelling emergency last week, indicating he was the closest in the ressies in breaking through to the seniors.
          So:

          In: Armstrong
          Out: Bolton (inj)

I haven't heard much about Seaby. Is he injured? Cause if Pyke's injured he'd be a better replacement than White IMO.

Someone earlier speculated that goodes must be injured due to lack of pace. I noted this on the weekend. Something is definitely wrong...my sense was that he lacked the oomph to take marks both when in one to one contests or where he had to stretch a little on his own(at least twice)...just off the pace unless he got the ball low & alone. Not good for our finals run if there is a nagging problem. Any other comments?

I thought he moved better last week than the week before.

That was me. Somebody reminded me that he did get the corky at the end of the game the week before so that may have fatigued late in the game.

We'll have to watch how he goes over the whole game this Saturday night.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

Moore anyone? He's obviously not the future but could he add to the midfield/forward depth while Jude's out? Just throwing it out there.

Yeah, I know. I just don't know how confident I am in Gordon, Morton etc but I guess we will see.

Everitt and all shuffle IMHO, assuming pikey gets up.

Gary he had a twinge of his leg, a corkie, so they said. He hasn't been in great form since he got back but he wasn't early in the season either and played his way in and then promptly got injured. I think if he doesn't come good in the next few weeks it might be a good idea for the physios to have a closer look.

Doggie won't got a birth unfortunately. I would love to see him go out on a high. But in saying that Nipper and the others are the future. Funny nobody has mentioned Harry? He has been playing very well in the mids. Same with Lamb, very clever is Lambchop!

By the way I am not saying either of those are up for a Guernsey just pontificating.
