I felt the same way. Had a sense of impending doom, and so it proved.

I don't think I've ever been this disappointed after a game. Probably not since the GF in 2006.

When one of your captains is running around as though he doesn't give a @@@@ it's not surprising we felt that.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Does anyone agree with my family that the seven commentators on a Sat evening give you the "s ". Bryan Taylor talks a lot of 'C " and the idea of tweeting in should bebanished. Concentrate on the game. All Pies supporters with their constant talk about how they replace swan daisy etc.
As for the Swans TDL is too weak at this atage and they need to play for a full qrt how many times does the opposition score in the last couple of minutes of a qrt.

I didn't blame the venue for the loss - I just hate going to GWS territory year after year to watch us lose to the cashed-up
Bogans. It's fine when we win but geez its a depressing place to try to escape from when you lose a match you should have won.

If we play a semi out there we will be hard pressed to get over 30k especially if the weather is crappy like yesterday.

Oh by the way I hate Collingwood and their foul, feral supporters.

The turnovers and errors in the last quarter were horrible at this level. It was so bad at times that I thought the Swans might be backing themselves for the flag and had to lose this game to get the price they wanted. A few times it was if they went out of their way to hit a Collingwood player with a pass when it would have been easier to hit a Swan.
I don't disagree with all the doom and gloom, but, I still think it is glass half full.
We lost to a side that has been one of the two benchmarks for the last few years. We lost by very little and were competitive in all areas with the exception of being able to convert scoring opportunities. Yes, I am disappointed with the result but I think there is every chance to turn it around if we meet in September regardless of what the venue is.

I've lived out West for 43 years so can the stereotypical sledging of the area please.

An 8 point loss wouldnt hurt so much after 9 in a row if it wasnt againt the team that keepa beting us.

We didnt function up forward, defence held the big men well though under pressure which says we can handle the pies and hawks .

You cant win games when u dont convert against the best and we created more opportunities by far. Not just shots on goal either. Wasted so many forward entries especially kicking to reid. Wish sam reid got delivery like we gave ben

I think TDL can look at the ressies fixture to find out where he will be next week, mcglyn too.
TDL should not have played last week or this week. He does not have the intensity or work rate when the chips are down.

I blame the length of the quarters - if they were 15 minutes of playing time, we would have won!

Sorry my gripe was with Olympic park, not the west in general. Apologies if any offense was caused - that was not my intention.

How did everyone enjoy the homebush stadium by the way? Isn't it a great place to watch footy.

                          It certainly is.

And if we'd won, it would be even better.

Lmao, which bit do you like best?
The lack of atmosphere? the lack of pre/after match options? the appalling catering? Or the terrible sight lines because it was not designed to host football?

Hard to know which is best?

                              The atmosphere was excellent.

The quality of the food, and healthy choices available - both inside and outside the venue - were excellent.

If you're having trouble with the sight lines, you might need to get your eyes checked.

And with the whole being greater than the sum of the parts, it was a fanastic night out, except for the result.
