I think Longmire is a very good coach, but disagree with him on this aspect. I think he misses opportunities to try out players and changes in positions when conditions are ripe, such as this game coming up. This is the last chance for any sort of experimenting. We have players in the reserves all year waiting for a chance to see how they might fit into the squad, particularly Morton and Spangher, and perhaps even Meredith, who has played well of late. Some senior players, Jetta perhaps, could use a brief spell. I would doubt if any moves involving these players will have any effect on the outcome of the match. Percentage no longer matters; we will finish with the second best pct behind Hawthorne unless something crazy happens.
I realise he will never change it up to being players in to try I was being funny. Pity he won't experiment though, it does show a lack of imagination and that could be a problem to winning the big one. So far he has done very well but just getting to finals is not good enough, this game is all about winning and the winner takes the prize. We have to number one be there on GF day and two win it. I think he will regret not trying players if we get a few injuries.

I still think Lamb is ready and roasted!!!!

I've heard the same words said of Big Al, truth be told.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Which of my lady friends told you that. All of them I'm guessing.

If Goodsie is injured I would bring Jesse in.

In; Jesse White, Mitch Morton & Sam Reid (If fit, if not retain Tony Armstrong) or Nathan Gordon

Out; Adam Goodes (if Injured), Terrance Denis-Lane & Tony Armstrong

Adelaide have three games that might enable them to increase their percentage substantially. Listening to Longmire in the pressy he seemed most chagrined over a few players who played below their best. Richards, Grundy and Johnson have taken more marks for us this year and I notice we took less marks than the Pies that may indicate that our defence was were Longmire thought we were down. Hanners did not see a lot of it 14 or 15 touches. I agree a game against the Doggies might be the time to try out a fresh face but what if a home final comes down to percentage and we don't capitalise this week end?

After a quiet month Jetta, could be forgiven for wanting a spell in the magoos but this game might be the one for him to get back to his best. As I said last week there probably only be familiar faces in the "ins" column for the rest of this year.

Its too late in the year to experiment, and bulldogs are no gold coast. We cant treat them with too much disrespect, lest they upset us and put top 2 out of the question.

But they have to end the TDL farse. Spranger or Morton to come in, is not a major experiement.

Or as the ground announcer called him when they subbed him off for Armstrong, Lewis Roberts-Thomson. One hyphen's as good as the next according to some.

I think everyone there are long term swans fans and know you don't fluke a premership. We know the swans forward line is it weak point and that player in the reserves are the answer but time has run out now to try them all. In someway next year will be better for the swans. If we bomb out in the finals this year and I am not saying we will but we need to look at list managment the furture of the players on your list how many player have we got from other teams we have given go. Are we really giving player a go? Himm
Walsh, spanger, mortan, and others should have been played against gws. Gold coast other teams have rested player. but we are so worried about percentage. The best team wins the big one. We could have had walsh, spanger, mortan, Tdl, lamb with 5 games this year and we have a list of forwards to play in finials. Now it too late.
Swans need big forwarded. Walsh/ spanger half forward reid/spanger/goodes. Pockets lamb. Ben. Tdl.
We would had a list of players to bring to finals now selector it too late
I hope we can do it with the list we have?
I wish the swans the best I know the selectors know what they are doing but I think we could have given more player a go this year.

Easy mistake to make - they look so similar and they play a similar style of game.

You certainly don't fluke a premiership. History shows that it helps to have a healthy list and a small number of changes during the year.

We have some decent quality in the reserves but let's face it - they are not a lot better than the players we have out there (if they are better at all). The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence etc. Remember the hopes we had for Jesse White, Tommy Walsh etc? Not saying these guys are finished, but they are not going to be game breakers.

I agree that the swans are short a quality KPF but I don't see anyone on our list who can fill that role.
