Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

From the named squad I wouldn't mind seeing Meredith come in as substitute, with Armstrong dropping back to the reserves (on the basis that is is rare for anyone other than Everitt to be sub on consecutive weeks but I can't see a case for Armstrong to replace anyone in the starting line-up).

I expect Reid to come in for TDL if he passes a test tomorrow. If not, I'd bring Spangher into the side, but wouldn't be too shocked to see Morton get the gig instead.

Sphanger in, in case Reidy doesn't get up for me. TDL, armstrong out, Morton possible sub

I reckon our inability to get the ball through the big sticks last week hasn't been lost on the selectors.

Regardless of his defensive efforts, Morton is one player on our list who can get goals. If he'd played last week we may have won.

Give Morton a full game this week, green vest someone who could do with a freshen up.

Wtf, what do people not get about how important it is keeping the ball inside your attacking 50?

Bring in TDL, he kicks straight, bring in Morton, he kicks straight. They also have to defend FFS. It's the easiest route to a goal at our end, letting a player run off you, or not sticking a tackle.

Just wondering if Meredith has been named in order to increase his trade potential.

[QUOTE=Dirtyburt;584224]Wtf, what do people not get about how important it is keeping the ball

I think the selections this week is a great in for the seconds that have worked so hard this year it appears that all of us talking about the forward line have worked lets hope
                  , M.Morton, M.Spangher get a go
M spangher to full forward if reid centre half and morton in for tdl replacement. Armstong to have a rest this week.

If all go's well and both show good signs this week and we have found two more good forward the swans need go into the finials with and to match up with hawks and geelong after mashing the dogs this week by 60 to 80 points. Hope both kick 6 or more. The top for side will have a nightmare matching up against a forward line like
                  Ben (goodes/mummy) (tdl/mortan)
                  (Okeef/Rok) (reid/spanger) (jet/Lrt)
All this player moving in and out as required in the finials plus the swans centre player back kicking a bag we should have a real go taking this year out and matching up to any on the top four team with all this player no team can not man up on or swans have a attacking forward line. If walsh came up this year we be unstopable. It maybe swans 2012 and 2013 flag one better thin 2005. Come on finals. Go swans

I think that's a fair option - hopefully Morton has gotten the fact that defensive pressure is valued highly around here and has been working on it. I think we all understand that anyone coming in to our team is expected to meet certain defensive standards and that if it's not been part of their game previously, they're expected to develop that. Getting some experience in the 1's is not a bad way to help understand what is required, and helps to ensure our depth cover is ready if needed come finals time.

I actually thought that side of his game was really good last game Burt. But he didn't do anything much offensively which is why he is in the side after all! His defensive side was really good 7 tackles BURT!!!!

Do you even bother watching the Two's Burt? The other thing is what about stats don't you understand? Is it the lines or that they confuse you? TDL got 7 tackles Burt that means he was working very hard defensively!!! Morton has also worked very hard defensively but he is a proven AFL Attacker. We need someone who can kick goals and Burt if you are going to have a go at someone for bad defense have a look at Godsies efforts on Saturday mate!@!!They were shocking!!!

Poor Goodesy couldn't take a trick. He seemed quicker than previous weeks, but everytime he got to a 50:50 situation he took the wrong option and just came off looking poor or the ball went the other way. (besides the ROK goal shot theft....)

I really hope Spangher and Morton get a full game, don't care much who gets dropped.
