Match Thread Rnd 21, Swans v Dogs, Etihad

Huge game. Cannot afford to drop this one, after the results last night.
Dogs will be primed, but the Swans should hold out.

Looking forward to seeing Morton in action in the R&W!!
I'll also be interested to see how our fwd structure works with Goodes and Reid under injury clouds, aided by fill in fwd LRT and no Morton.

I fear we may drop one of the next 2, so I would prefer to get a % boost out of this game.

Whatever you're smoking, I'm not touching!

We badly need this one. We're facing the form teams of the comp in the next two weeks and we want a top two finish with a fat percentage.

How does the fact that the teams below us lost make this a must win?

If it changes anything it means this is not a must win.
Win we'll be first. Lose 2nd.

If pies n crows won it'd mean we'd go to 4th if we lost.

Imo we must win this regardless of ehat happened last night, thought id correct the op's statement though.

Swans premiers is absolutely correct about the impact of last nights's games on the must-winningness of this one for us. However, those results increase the potential prize if we do win. Had Adelaide and the Pies both won, we'd have still to win both the last two games to be assured of a top 2 spot. Now, if we beat the Dogs, we only have to win one of the two.

If we lose and Hawthorn beat GC today, Hawks will be 1st and Swans 2nd, making the task of finishing in top 2 all that harder as we'll still be equal points with crows and pies.
Crows still have 2 easy games left.

I might be wrong, but I believe today could be the first time we've beaten the Bulldogs in Melbourne since the 1990's.

                  Waverley Park 1987.
But then considering we haven't played them in Melbourne all that much in recent years, it doesn't mean that much.

We've only played them 4 times in Melb since they became the Western Bulldogs in 1997.
                  2 of those were finals.
We've never played them at Etihad/Docklands.

Wrong Horse. Rubbish decision. Shouldn't have selected him if you were going to make him sub.

We have to actually beat them first...

Well, I hope this is the day we break our Melbourne drought against them, otherwise I'll have flown down for nothing.
