Griffen or Dustin Martin is the type of player that would make our midfield pretty much "complete".

Parkes worked his way into the game and finished off on a high. As far as I could see. Anyone at the game itself who can comment? I was not sure if Danny and Peb were quite on the states sheet until I looked at my Dream Team points. Honestly, you have to GO to the game to get all the nuances.
ROK tackled like ....Jude ! Hanners was good. Nick Smith is a cooler head than AJ , who will be a good player , though he must work on his speed.

The back six were all good today, except for the 1st quarter. Teddy had a couple of clumsy non-intercepts, Marty did his regulation OOBTF, Alex was a bit slow to his man,Reg (I think, would be glad to be corrected) gave away an unnecessary free for a goal, Rhyce was indecisive and ran in circles. All fixed for Q2. And Smooch shut Giansiracusa almost right out of the game.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

              pencils !!

Its going to take a while to knock off a mural with pencils.

Parker was very good today. He's my favourite player and he did alot of in and under grunt work... love him! Goodesy played well, Smithy and AJ were composed as usual. Everyone played their roles, including the umpires the *smiling* idiots.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

I thoroughly enjoyed the second half of that game, one I had the presence of mind to mute the game. Those commentators were really doing their best to dampen Swans' fans enjoyment.

Loved AJ's work again. He's easily one of my favourite players, as is Sammy. Good to see Sammy moving pretty well too and love seeing his quick hands again. Hopefully he'll be back taking great marks and kicking a bagful next week.

Thought Goodes was a LOT better, but I've heard/read a few times that he was the Swans best which I don't agree with. Pyke and Mummy were fantastic again, the kids were great once they woke up and the back six ( after the first quarter) were solid once again.

God I'm enjoying being a Swans fan this year. I haven't been this excited about footy for a few years

Reg and Marty both had Deliberate OOB paid against them.
I argued that they just can't kick so it wasn't deliberate.

Goodes second half was a significant improvement. I was appalled at his start and worry that his decision making will cost us against the Hawks. Hopefully his confidence is back.
Smith was brilliant as was AJ (aside from his questionable kicking)
Morton was lively but i'm sure Longmire will remind him to shepherd - After he looked for the easy handball from Hannebery who slotted the goal. Liked the want to kick a goal but needs the balance right.

Jack and Kennedy supreme in the middle

                      Griffin what a game WOW

Got my 3 votes. Didn't miss a beat and the sheer frustration on Giansiracusa's face as he spoiled, harrassed, outmarked him or simply outpointed him was very obvious.

On AJ...in the last quarter he seemed to be favouring his strapped knee and looked spent. Played well mind you but looked a bit jaded.

Morton could be an X factor. He moved really well and looked fresh. Not the "fresh" of a sub, but that of a player who hasn't had his body battered for 21 rounds. If he is able to play a full game where he moves around the forward line like he did, then it adds another dimension.

Heard a story at the game that Spangher last week put his hand up to say that he is not quite ready.

AJ copped a heavy knock in the last Qtr, and struggled to get to his feet. The trainer signalled for an interchange, but he just walked back to his position.

He's still standing there. They hope to get him on the plane by this afternoon.

Did anyone see Elizabeth Taylor at the game yesterday? Hard to believe but those of you that taped the game, watch at the 15:39 minute mark of the second quarter. Just after Picken kicks the goal. They show a Vietnam Vet with his arm in a sling having a beer and she is sitting about 4 rows behind him.

Couldn't tell if she was texting comments in though.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

I'm just watching the replay on Fox. The vision is terrible and can't believe the quality of what should be HD recording. Really poor.

Anyway, was a great game and lots of fun yesterday. So impressed with the second half and how clean our rebound was from defence.
