    Brent Maloney

Apparently the Swans are keen on Brent Maloney who will become a free agent at years end.

I'd prefer we went after Colin Sylvia to be honest.

Brent Moloney? No thanks. Don't think that's the area on our list we need to address.

Are you kidding? I think we can get him for "free" under the Free Agent rules.

He would really suit our style, plays like a raging bull. Can't believe he has been on the outer at Melbourne who have shown heart as big as a pea this year.

Has got/had some off field issues but so have so many players we've recruited who have become model citizens once they lob harbourside.

Be silly if we didn't look at him and at 28 he realises time is limited so he has to give it his all and we are in the Premiership window so we are much more attractive then many other teams.

Brent Moloney. come on up I say!

He can't get a game at Melbourne. Enough said.

Unhappy players looking for a change usually don't play great footy . Our record on recycled players would lead me to believe that if the Swans are interested then he most likely will have something to offer.

I know what you mean Al ( Kennedy, Mcglynn prime examples), just feel that type of player isn't really a priority at this stage for us. If he comes for little, then i suppose he would add some depth. Think Other teams would be willing to pay him more then we would though. Carlton would be a perfect fit IMO. He's the sort of player they could really use.

Agree he fits Carlton, but I would still take him.

I can't see the Swans paying overs for him. If Maloney is looking to get out of the goldfish bowl that is Melbourne and just get back to playing some good footy then Sydney is the ideal place for him.

Agree. He could probably do the same at Port for more cash. Then again, at his age, playing with a team that is pushing for a flag may be more enticing. Well see. What is your opinion on Goddard and the rumors we are chasing him? ( too off topic? )

Would love it if we got Goddard. He'd be even a better player than he is now if we could get him away from the cultural wasteland that is St Kilda.

He's been pretty poor this year IMO, so initially I wasn't very keen on the idea of getting him. Then i think of his 2010 finals campaign, if he could come close to recapturing that form he would add some real class that I feel we lack at times in big games. He wouldn't come cheap though.

                            Oh Al Goddard, really???
He is one of my most hated AFL players, talk about the king of pea hearts - that's an insult to peas!!!!

Very good player, I don't think we could pay the asking price though. He is testing the market, means $$$$ plus
