Yep not worth paying very much for - we have a good young midfield group with Tom Mitchell waiting in the wings - would rather spend the money on a forward....

I agree, a forward is the priority. If I could have my pick of players to recruit it would be Tippett hands down, only because Cloke is a wanker and we wouldn't pay what he'd ask anyway. Unfortunately I doubt much we'd have a chance of getting either.

He's still a terrific player and if there's one club that can give him a heart, we would be it. St Kilda would reduce even Phar Laps heart to the size of a pea so I'd give Goddard a chance.

Tippett is waaaaay overrated. he is also one concussion away from the end of a career, as well. I am still hurting because we took Lamb before Darling.

Yep darling is a gun, there was talk about attitude/trouble before the draft. It is reason he was held off until late

I'm not saying Tippets the ducks nuts, but he's the best forward we have a snowflakes chance of getting, and we need a tall forward IMO. Him and Reid would be a very handy combo. He'd easily be better than any of our tall forwards at present ( Reid given time may be better, but not at present). The concussion thing is a worry though.

Hey, we are not the only ones hurting about Darling. The year before draft he was rated a top three pick then a couple of off field incidents and I think injury put everyone off except the Weagles who may have been adding petrol to the Darling has problems fire so they could pick him up as a bargain around pick 28.

Don't hurt too much, Lamb may turn out alright, albeit not a forward that we crave.

Darling made it very clear with his actions leading up to he draft that he didn't want to play anywhere else but in Perth.

Would have been a wasted pick if we had taken him.

On the topic of Moloney, the game at present shows that you can't have enough midfielders. Especially those that can kick goals and pay inside and out so on a free transfer he is a bargin and would greatly to our best 25 or so.

It's why he fits in so well at the Weagles.
