I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Though the top decks were somewhat vacant the bottom deck looked like a red & white ocean.
Sounded awesome too. Loved the roar that erupted when the replay of Smithy's 'touched' goal came up
Well done to all RWO's in attendance -- you were awesomeTo all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!Comment

From the coverage it looked like about 55,000 if them were Swans fans.

Seriously. If that was 57000 I don't know where the other 30k will fit.Comment

On Thursday the ticket sale count was 57k....apparently no further tickets were sold after and no ANZ members turned up to increase the numbers.....does seem a bit weird. I did hear that the ticket scanning machine stopped working at Gate H and they were tearing off the stubs off tickets. Maybe these wouldn't have been counted.Run2Live,Live2RunComment

If you've really supported the club for that long, you'll be there on Friday.
Forget about the prelim. It's Jude's 300th, and everyone who's ever truly supported this club should go for that reason and no other.
All of us owe him a debt of gratitude for his unselfish service over the years.
The ticket prices are very annoying, but not enough for long-term supporters to refuse attending. It's our job to do all we can to help get the team across the line, especially this time.Comment

I'm sorry Cheer Squad but some of us are not made of money. We have to scrimp and save for everything. I certainly can't afford the Prelim & GF if my tickets are not subsidised or paid off over a period of time. I pay my membership at $19/month. My nephew is helping if I go to the GF. I can't afford both the Prelim & GF. I was pretty confident we would make it through last night so GF it is if I can manage to get to Melb...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. Spot on Al. Watching sport is an expensive business these days, and everyone has different circumstances. I'm lucky that I have a well paying job, relatively few committments and enough disposable income that I can get to what games I want - including finals games. But that does not make me any more or less of a supporter than anyone else. In the end, wherever we are, we'll all be going mental supporting the boys in Red and White - that is the bond that brings us together, and the only one that matters!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
