Brereton has given me a bloody headache every Thursday nite this year anchoring League Teams, he has just reduced the show to Guffawing Gibberish.
"He was proud of us when we won and he was still proud of us when we lost' Tami Roos about Paul Sept 06.

So how is ou win this year any different to the Hawthorn win in 2008 where Geelong dominated the stats but didn't win the match? Surely it's the same except we didn't waste time by doing the dodgy walking the ball through for a point stuff.

Dermie can't say they should have won this year without conceding they shouldn't have won in 2008.
I know which of the two wins was more courageous and will be remembered longer by most of the AFL community.

Dermie is such a tosser who loves the sound of his own voice!

Yep - that works! Love it!

I particularly like the BS explanation they give as to why they traded Joey. All this guff about a surfeit of similar sized midfielders, what a lot of twaddle. They sold him to us because they had a colossal hard-on for Shaun Burgoyne (and Gibson).
The ditched a heritage player to chase another clubs best player, and the whole things backfired. Sounds more like poetic justice.
            Yep - spot on!

Yes. Seems Dermie might have to file the 2008 premiership in a folder labelled "An inconvenient truth". Along with most Hawks alumni, he's taken great satisfaction from that victory. Is hypocritical in the extreme to now be whining about being on the other end of it this year. Al Clarkson said they needed to be 'harder for longer' after last year's prelim, and the simple inescapable truth is that they weren't. To his credit, he's handled what would obviously be a crushing disappointment with class and dignity. Dermie and the other disgruntled former glory boys should take a leaf out of his book and find a bit more self control.

He sounds to me like a through and through Hawks man that is bleeding, and dissecting the game as we would on here.

Dont have much of a problem with what he said, as I'm sure he'd give a different opinion when its not so intense.

Always thought he was one of the Melbourne media that understood what our club was about, so I dont have a problem with him at all.

I agree, I don't think he was too bad. We did have luck, it did bounce our way. And as he inferred we were good enough to not waste the opportunity.

Regardless listening to him most weeks on SEN, he has great footy knowledge and insights. I don't watch league teams however, but from what I have seen I think he is playing it up for the camera in a hosting role.

And whoever said he is the worst special comments person you need to go check out some Luke Darcy highlights. Actually you will have better luck with results searching for low lights.
