Barret is a tosser, Sydney couldn't get Tippett without the cap concession, how does he say that with such conviction? Does he have some inside knowledge on our player payments. Tool

GWS now has picks 1 and 2 in the draft.
Why didn't the Dees have to use pick 13 rather than pick 26 for Viney? I thought you had to use the next pick if the clubs prior to the first one (GWS & Suns) didn't force them to use pick 3. I'm sure some of the teams between 3 and 13 may have gone for Viney?

Pick 13 was a concession pick they received. You only need to use picks that come in the natural order in a normal draft...

It is when a club forces you to use the first round pick. The Suns traded their pick 2 to GWS for the first pick in the U17 draft (mini draft) so they couldn't nominate Viney and it appears GWS couldn't be bothered. Big win for the Dees. They now have 2 first round picks and might even trade 13 for an established player.

They'll need someone to line up on Tippett.

He runs hot & cold. Should fit in well at the Hawks.

First round draft pick for a 31 yr old (pick 21 apparently).

Geez, I wish they would deal with us if they do that.

How can a club that was raging favorite for the flag all year and is widely perceived as having the most star studded list possibly fit in an ex AA player?!!

I agree, he would've been one of the highest paid dogs. He wouldn't be playing for peanuts at the hawks. Wonder if the media will question this one?
