While we are all concentrating on Tippett, I wonder if the Swans have approached any fringe players from other clubs in the background ? (ala Morton, Kennedy, McGlynn types).
Most of those guys we were able to offer starting spots to, but with Tippett coming on board, we really don't have any holes in the starting 21, but rather need to find starting places for quality players (Mitchell, Rowan) already on our list. Some of the better names bandied about, Clinton Young, Jordon Russell could struggle getting into our starting 21. Russell was one that came to mind as he is a free agent and was a pretty decent player a couple of years ago. But for him to slot into our defence would mean either Mattner or Malcelski would go out. Hard to see the point.
Barrett on Trade Radio mumbling about Mitchell as part of Syd package for Tippett. Hope this is as reliable as most of his other forecasts!
Is it April 1?
Barrett is quickly losing whatever credibility he has left.
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
This thread has affected my mind. I can't even make a U-turn without thinking of Jed. (Fun Fact: Apparently making a U-turn in NZ has a different meaning to what we have here)
Making a U-turn? Aren't they more interested in making her eyes pop?
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.
Barrett; until lately he has been a 3rd ranked football reporter on the Herald Sun. Fox Footy materialises and they needed someone to fill a spot. Same goes for Mark Stevens and Mark Robinson. No more than mates in the media stuff.
Robb is okay as a print journalist, but on Telly , when he has to think on the spot and can't use a thesaurus, he really isn't a very articulate or perceptive footy brain. He looks half pissed most of the time too.

He's still probably working out how he can go under cover as a Scientologist. How dumb was that comment.
