    Your favourite Swans post-celebration moment!

What was your 1,2,3 vote for your favourite Swans post-celebration moment?

1)Mitch Morton's frank interview on ground post siren?
2)Josh Kennedy hugging his famous Hawk grandfather post siren?
3)Mike Pyke hugging Steve Taubert after the final siren?
4)ROK being the first Swan winning a Norm Smith medal and his speech?
5)Teddy Richards holding Dan Hannebery back from running to the podium during Jarrad McVeigh's speech? (Apparently Hanners told Ted that he was going to be first up to the cup...after Macca & Horse!) If you watch closely you see Hanner's head under the cup while Horse and Macca are still holding it when the players run up!
6)AJ shouting "wooooooooo babaaaaaaaaaay" upon getting his medal.
    7) Horse getting his medal on the dias.
    8) Jarrad & Clemintine McVeigh holding their bay Lolita post presentation near the boundary line.
    9) Bob Skilton presenting the premiership cup to Macca & Horse.
    10) The whole Swans team on the dias flashing their medals under the red and white confetti as the mighty Swans song pumps out around the stadium.
    11) The Swans team celebrating with fans around the boundary sharing the cup.
    12) The Reid & Shaw brothers sharing the moment on the boundary line.
    13) The Swans leaving the ground, entering the rooms and singing the song.
    14) Nick Davis standing in the centre of the ground and clapping like a seal staring and grinning towards an on-coming running John Longmire.
    15) Luke Hodge's classy speech (had to put him in.....I admit I like him and I wish he was a Swan). His comment "not only are you well respected but you're well liked" was big coming from a losing captain who must have been gutted.
    16) Ryce Shaw getting his medal after being much maligned ever since his last GF appearance as a Pie?

Please feel free to ad if you have other fav moments.

    Mine are:

3 votes - Jarrad & Clemintine holding Lolita with Jarrad's medal glistening around his neck.
2 votes - The whole Swans team on the dias drenched in red and white confetti with the cup under the beat of the mighty Swan's song.
1 vote - Bob Skilton presenting the cup (he was my idol growing up as a boy watching games at the Lakeside Oval).
A special mention to the boy's singing the song in the rooms

Ryan O'Keefe placing the cap he was suppsed to place on the medal presenting kid's head on himself and then being reminded to find the kid to present it to him. The kid must have gone from being disappointed to feeling extra special that ROK walked to him.

The sheer joy at the instant Horse and Macca hold that cup aloft will always be the moment for me. The rousing rendition of the song in the rooms was wonderful too.

Of course all the emotional scenes that surround the celebrations will always live in the memory.

For me, it was listening to the crowded room at the Clubhouse in Tanunda, South Australia, cheer their guts out when the siren rang. It still brings tears to my eyes. To have that support when you are so far from home was terrific.

I'm waiting for the "Your favourite Swans Christmas Day and New Year's Day celebration" threads to appear before I'm making a comment.

On second thoughts - it was Mummy turning up by Taxi still in "celebration" mode at Lakeside Oval. He was still going at full speed (signing autographs and talking to people) at the SCG when just about all the other players were going through the motions of just physically being there.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

All of the above mentioned memories are special. Putting them in order is almost impossible but I would like to add one to the list. Being at the MCG and watching on the big screen as the team sang Cheer Cheer..... It was amazing being able to sing along with the team. I often wonder if the boys could hear (feel) the fans belting it out above them. It was a stirring moment for me and my family.

The three sets of brothers, McVeigh, Reid and Shaw. the fact that the brothers were just so excited for their winning brothers - whole lot of love unashamedly on display.
McVeigh and family shot, Macca searching for them in the crowd and on the ground, and sheer joy on his face with the cup. He became handsome.
The power of the hugs from the whole squad before the presentation began.
The sheer honesty of Mitch Morton's interview, its a moment that could be played to new boys again and again throughout the competition - see, that's what it takes, that is what you have to live up to.
Dan Hannerbery in almost any scenario.

Well, that was an emotional read!
At the moment I favour the brothers, Nick Davis and Horse, Luke Hodge (a class act), and the comedy of O'Keefe's cap. Not to go off topic, but I love the way the club under Horse has tapped into the talents of Nick Davis; I could add to the list Nick singing out "Remember the goalkicking coach!" or words to that effect.
Some others I'll have to go back and watch for.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Is there video of Davis & Longmire? I had no idea that happened...

Also my vote would probably be for Macca's scream of pure joy when he lifts the cup. I love it when players show how much a flag means to them, i.e. Tredrea in 2004 going absolutely ballistic on the podium.

Nomae, I've watched the game replay including post game celebrations many times. It wasn't until the last time I watched it that I saw a 'cheshire cat grinning' Nick Davis staring and clapping looking at an oncoming running Horse. Nick was dressed in the all orange runner type apparel. I believe it may be after the Josh Kennedy interview and the camera flashes behind horse as he's running towards the centre of the ground from the boundary. It obviously took Horse awhile to get down...no doubt sharing the elation with his fellow coaches and staff in the coaches box. I'll try and give you the exact time Nick Davis is captured when I next view the tape.

                          1. Jetta leaping into Goodes' arms as he (Jetta) came off the stage after being presented with his medal. Jetta's admiration for 'the old man' as he calls Goodes is such a pleasure to see.

                          2. The kids scooping up the confetti from the grass after the ceremony and filling the caps that they had been given by the players, and then throwing it about. Their innocent joy in a simple act in the midst of the celebrations of one of Australia's great sporting spectacles.

                          3. Mike Pyke taking a Canadian flag from a fan on the pickets and draping himself in it as the players did their lap of honour. What a wonderful match Pyke played. Given Mumford's injury we would have been struggling in the ruck on the day without the big Canadian..

                          4. The elation on the faces of all the players on the lap of honour. But the one with the widest smile of all seemed to be Adam Goodes. He was absolutely beaming. The wonderful match he played on one leg was just amazing.

I loved the brothers celebrating, the McVeighs together with their baby and 'Nek Minnit' by Shaw, but so hard to separate them all.

However, my overall favourite was in the Foxtel post game coverage, where Paul Roos was trying to interview Mike Pyke and Hanners kept on interrupting - so funny!! All the commentators were saying 'Gee, he's going to need a hard tag tonight, put Brett Kirk on him, wouldn't let him out of my sight etc'

By the way, the Nick Davis sighting is right after the ROK interview post siren. You see Horse running towards him and the players.
