There were definitely times when GWS' speed & accuracy in direct kicks to each other (and catching it too) seemed to leave the Swans behind - though much of that was that nap we seemed to have at the start of the second quarter. But yeah, GWS are definitely improving rapidly. And watching a bit of the Suns' game last night had me saying the same thing as a few already have above - we'd better be ready next week, the Suns are definitely starting to get it together. Can't expect a cakewalk. I wish the newbie teams luck, but I don't want my Swannies to be the first major scalp either of them claim!

Oh, and having been there, my view of the game attendance was most definitely a lot more red and white than orange and ... and ... whatever fancy grey thing colour.

Possibly quite a few Swans fans among the GWS membership to get into this game and a few other games at Sunny Blacktown throughout the season.

Gee their mascot is a shocker and what the hell was going on with that dance off between him and Cyggie and the one solo dancing girl???? We had a New Zealander with us for her first game of AFL and she was simply dumb founded!

Watching the Hawthorn / Geelong match on TV. Boy we will need to make massive improvement in a hurry or we will get slaughtered!

He's not the first player to be cleared where the high contact resulting from the bump was a head clash. One B.McGlynn was cleared of a very similar incident last year.

                        Round 1- Vs GWS

I was away camping on the Murray and tried watching the game today. One quarter was enough for me, sloppy as. Agree about Mummy though, looking super ripped and could be an x factor playing more time forward allowing the Moose to spend more time in the ruck.

Tippett might be given a Lance Franklin roaming role if his fitness dramatically increases.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

Haha! I learnt last year not to bring newcomers to a GWS game! Could put them off for awhile (nothing against them, just not competitive yet)

I have just looked at the Statistics for the game. The Swans 'big men' certainly worked hard with their time on ground.

TOG at 100% for Richards and Grundy

99% for Mumford and 93% for Pyke

93% for Goodes and 91% for Reid

I imagine they used the game to give them some match fitness. This Saturday will probably be used in the same way but GCS could be a harder game.
