Armstrong and Rampe out ....bit stiff for both

Everitt and Bird in......ok with that..... but no Morton

Until we get some injuries, touching wood, it's going to be hot competition for spots.

He certainly has form as a super sub. Can't remember which game but he kicked the winner in a game last year off the bench. Hopefully not required to do the same on Saturday.

It was against Geelong. A beautiful kick that was.

He also subbed in to replace Gary Rohan against North Melbourne, and played probably his best game for the club.

A Swans win will create history. Never in the club's 115 year participation in the VFL/AFL have they, as the reigning Premiers, won the first two games of the following season. Witness:

                  1910 Lost Round 2 against Collingwood 46-87

                  1919 Lost Round 1 aganst Collingwood 49-62

                  1934 Lost Round 2 against Carlton 119-122

2006 Lost both Round 1 against Essendon 81-108, and Round 2 against Port Adelaide 80-106

And Round 2 2006 left everyone a little flat. Losing to Port on the day that the flag was unfurled. Hopefully no complacency tomorrow.

                      Snap.

I have noted the increase in shoulder size, single minded effort in training, "that" mark, putting in, etc. Whoever spoke to MM must have also had some influence on Dre. I like his endeavour.

Still waters. Runs deep. Kicks straight.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Did anyone else notice that Sergio is listed as a goal ump? Hooray!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
