Changes for round 6 v Brisbane

Tony may just be finding his feet. He looked great in the Nab cup, and at times last year too. In his poorer games this year he looks like he has zero ability to win a one on one contest, win his own ball basically. He's great at providing a handball receive option, does have a nack for racking up touches and finding space, can use the ball superbly ( though so far this year he hasn't produced that consistently at senior level), but if he is going to make it in our side I think he needs to be able to provide a stronger contest, he gets beaten far too easily. Maybe that's just poor form, as it's not something I noticed as prominently before this year. Conversely maybe I've just never seen him ( or paid attention) in a lot of one on one situations . I hope it's the former, he definitely has potential to be a regular contributor for us.

This is the issue...He looks great when not under pressure....Under pressure he looks crap.

Hope he can pick up the pace and turn it around, but he needs to show something soon or , along with Everitt, he'll be on the outer.

When I first noticed Armstrong in his early games last year, it was his poise under pressure that caught my eye. He seemed to be able to make a really good kick or handball decisions for a rookie. This is what seems to have gone missing so far this year. Maybe it is 2nd season syndrome ... possibly the opposition is targeting him a bit differently now they've had some time to check him out. Plenty of players face this and the making of them is their ability to adapt. Here's hoping.

Looking at the paper this morning, it was kinda strange to see the outs for the bulldogs reading "Veszpremi, Goodes"...

Nice piece on Fairfax sites this morning re. Jed's debut today.

He'll be out next week. So predictable.
