O'Loughlin urges Lewis Jetta to stay put

    No Cookies | thetelegraph.com.au

When asked about playing on at the Swans beyond 2013 Jetta was non-committal.

"I'm not really sure, I haven't made up my mind at the moment," Jetta told The Daily Telegraph.

The lack of enthusiasm to continue at Sydney could be part of contract negotiations, but there is good reason for the Swans to be concerned.

With a young son, Lewis Junior, and another child on the way, the lure of WA is obvious.

Fremantle in particular are known to have plenty of space in their salary cap for a star like Jetta. Dockers coach Ross Lyon ruled out a move for Hawthorn's Lance Franklin earlier this year and their attention could turn to the Swans wingman.

"There's no rush. I'm just enjoying playing footy at the moment," Jetta said. "My manager is talking to the club at the moment. I just want to play some really good footy."

The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Could be posturing, but I really don't like it when players are non-committal and want to play "really good footy"...just not for you.

The WA teams didn't even want him when they had the chance.

Furfy. He knows he has a chance of another granny in Sydney.

Anyone catch his performance on Before the Game? He was relaxed and extremely funny, and oh he has a quick wit. Think I will take to calling him Flash from now on.

Be surprised if Jets goes back to WA. Having said that I wonder if Nathan Fyfe has any family here.

Jetts' comment sounds to me more like hosing it down rather than stirring it up. I think Primmy's right.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

If Jetta leaves, I will cry.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

                      I bet they do now.
Lets keep him for another 3 years, then when his pace starts to go, let him go back to WA for a great deal.

First 2 lines of that quote are factual. The rest is speculation by the journalist.

We'll have a chat next time I see him.
He won't be going anywhere if I can talk him out of it.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
