The way things have been going, I'd be surprised to see both Reid and Mummy back at the same time - sounds too good to be true. That's based on nothing but pessimism. Also, Morton isn't a sub - much better as a starter. If Reid plays, I'd love to see a Tippett, Reid, Morton, McGlynn forward line. Surely without Goodes running through there, this will happen.

The only way this is a danger game for us is if we sustain more injuries that screw us for future games.

To me, the big questions are:

        1. Do Reid and Mummy come straight in or are they made to do some ressie time? I think the former.
        2. Has Jessie done enough to hold his spot, at least for now? Maybe. I'm borderline. Particularly as a forward. See point 3.
        3. Does Horse want to experiment with three talls in the forward line? I think there's a good possibility, maybe with Reid on one of the flanks. Particularly with Melbourne having two good KPDs.
        4. Is Morton or Lamb higher in the pecking order? I still lean to Morton. He's been doing some great work in his crumbling role, though Lamb had a great game last week. I don't think Morton makes a good sub. BJ's speed is a great thing to bring in against tired defenders in the last quarter.
        5. Will Horse rest an older guy to get more match experience into younger bods in case there's more injury? Must be a serious consideration given the run this year.

        My conclusion:
        In: Reid, Mumford
        Out: Lamb, Bolton
        Sub: Jack

Hard to pick. Don't envy Longmire. It'll get harder as more players return from injury too. The quality of the reserves bodes well for the future.

With a Sunday game, I guess we will be left wondering for another 24 hours with an extended list named tonight.

I'm amazed at Armstrongs selection....Maybe insurance for Rampe

With that hand/shoulder/wrist he was carrying at the end of last weeks game.

So, unless there are more injuries we don't know about:

Emergencies will be : Armstrong, White, B Jack

Rampe has been named in the starting 18, not the extended bench, so they're planning on playing him. Armstrong will be an emergency.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Wouldn't surprise me if Jack gets the spot, or more accurately the subs vest ahead of Lamb

Unlucky! Takes a plethora of injuries to get promoted from the rookie list & earn his debut game, plays all of 10 minutes of footy & is out injured the next week?!

We know Bird & Mitchell will play so the unlucky one is out of the other 3. With Reid back as well I wonder if it'll be Morton?
