I don't think you're crazy - I feel a bit funny about the game too but that's solely based on the baffling 2010 result which of course has absolutely no bearing on what will happen on Sunday. Common sense says we should win. Let's face it, the Dees struggled to hang on to beat the Dogs last week and we comfortably beat a finals contender with 9 of our premiership players out.

That's one stat for every Tippett goal.

The weather forecast indicates there will be a shower or two. Will Sunday bring three consecutive games in the wet for Tippett in the red and white? Footy gods, give him a break (aside from the break that he just had).

Not me. Richmond, on the other hand, I'm very anxious about already.

Any reason in particular? I thought Lamb was outstanding last week. Jack (BJ? Jack Junior? JJ?) was solid as well but I thought Lamb was better.

Lamb was good but he brings more of what we already have in abundance - strong bodied, neat skilled player who can win contested ball and can play a bit on the outside but doesn't have great pace. Jack is less advanced than Lamb but does offer something a little different with his pace, which we lack with Jetta and Goodes missing.

I can see why many would argue Lamb is a better option at this stage, but it's also not too hard to see the team balance argument that might lean towards Jack.

I must admit I do feel sorry for Jesse, Sam and Mummy may very well come in to play some easy beats on a big ground in decent weather. Life's a bitch.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Yeah that's rough on Jesse. He hasn't come in at the best of times bar one match.

I am nervous about every game. Doesn't matter who we play. There's always a chance we could slip and not get up in time. Every result matters.

The Tippett talking point last week was what a handy replacement for Mumford and Reid. This week he's a handy in for Goodes.

Oh please, Melbourne have played about 6 competitive quarters all season - I'm thinking we'll smack the living daylights out of them. Priority one is no more injuries.

And yes, feel sorry for Jesse - two very good games (and one not so impressive). He still has plenty to play for.

Agreed, we got our wake up call against Port....We'll thump the Demons.

And Jesse is unlucky, especially given the opposition and a probable dry track. Given his recent form he may well of had a day out.

The debate over Lamb versus B Jack, for this game, is an interesting one.

Personally I'd like to see Lamb get another full game, could be a real confidence builder for him.

Though I do also see the merit in giving B Jack another run, he has been impressive, and has some real toe.

I'll say it again, I'd like to see Jude given the vest, not as a demotion, but to give his body a break, and to see how he goes in that role.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

I hope we win, I will be attending my first EVER MCG game. I wrangled a work trip to Melbourne that just coincidentally happens to coincide with a Swans game at the 'G'.

Congratulations and good luck. Last time I wangled some extra time in Melbourne to see the Swans play the Dee's at the MCG was in 2010.
                            It wasn't a good experience.

My first MCG experience was watching the Tigers game last year with my wife's Tiger-mad family. If was a freezing night and an all-round miserable experience. Nice ground though...

I have been to every mcg game of the swans since about 1995/6.

i reckon the melbourne game is just about the worst over that time. even matty lloyd kicking 15 (i think it was 15) against us wasnt that bad and i hate essendon and matty lloyd.

just about every other game we had a little run and could almost have got back into the game with some straight kicking - even the finals loss which was plugger's last game where we were super uncompetitive was better than that dees game.
