I would like to see the same team as last week but they don't often put someone in the sub vest two weeks in a row. Thus I think they might swap BJ and Lamb or drop BJ and bring Cunningham in as the sub. No doubt Shaw is being given match time in preparation for September, and rightly so in my opinion.

        Horse = Sheeds?

Scott can you add a P to Magies in the thread title?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Not to be negative, but he still has a way to go. All the power to him! Keep getting the miles in the legs and touch back in the heat of the moment.
I guess it just comes down to whether the Swans want him fit and firing for the finals. I personally think we need to invest in his preparation. So if we want him as an ace to play in the final, I don't really see any way around not getting started this week. If you start him as a sub against the Saints, then he's got to back up with two super-hardcore matches without yet playing a full senior game.

To a lesser extent B Jack has been providing that outside speed the we got from Jetta last year albeit mainly inside F50. Rohan, when fit, can give us that in spades over a larger part of the ground. You would think that Jetta, LRT and maybe Reid have missed too much footy to be any real chance this year. Lamb deserves to be replaced only by Adam Goodes, such has been his contribution. Benny in for BJ.

I don't see him playing anything but a sub if he doesn't finish out reserves games strong. To play a full game he'd need to be killing it in reserves then sub in seniors for one and a full game after that seems to be the how the progression is for kids. Shaw being the exception due to a decade of preseasons for his fitness base.

Also StKilda and Rohan you say?

              Me smiles

Going from Horse's press conference Mcglynn is in presume Jack out. Sounds like Reid will start training in 3 weeks Jetta and Goodesnare a bit behind him. didn't rule LRT out

Talk of Rohan coming in at all this year smacks of panic stations. An approach the club doesn't appear to follow thankfully.

If Benny is fit then BJ will be the unlucky one me thinks.

I gave up on paying too much attention to our 'injury report' months ago to be honest....

I think Rhyce will be better with the weekend's run under his belt but would be surprised to see Gazza back so soon.

It's not every year your team is one of the premiership favourites. He would have certainly have been a premiership player last year and I'm thinking a) reward for a huge effort and b) what an asset it would be to have him. Only if fit of course, goes without saying.

From Longmire's press conference today, it sounds as though Benny will be back this week.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

I also wanted to say that watching BJ and X Richards come on as sub for the first time, they looked like newborn foals. It was like a nature documentary where the foals are finding their feet and trying to keep up. Needless to say, Rohan would definitely not look like this as sub, regardless of his injury history. If we are cool to do this with a couple of newborn foals, then I'm sure we won't have a problem with doing it for a red stallion.

I'd love to see Red and Benny win a flag. What a great story that would be!

I'd have Morton in for Shaw after his 6 streak and help Shaw get more match fit in the seconds, with McVeigh and Malceski firing in his original position
