It is a 6 day turnaround for both clubs. We played on concrete and they played in the wet.

Colless v Eddie will be almost as entertaining as the match.

I'm sure your reasons make sense to you, but doesn't boycotting the game play into Collingwood's hands rather than ours? I'd have thought the way to react to your understandable displeasure over Eddie's comments would be to show up and cheer the Swans on with all your might. Just sayin'.

+1 Not turning up to cheer on the red and white when you could otherwise be in attendance hurts no-one but us.

Let's just concentrate on the football. The media as always want to pull fans to what they see as more controversial areas. Interestingly there is always something that comes up just before a Pies game just to get fans riled. CHEER CHEER the RED and the WHITE.....

I missed the Pies game this year at the MCG for various reasons.
Biggest mistake of the year. So disappointed.

But I did make it to the Prelim last year. That was fantastic!!

I'll be there on Saturday depending if I make it out of the Twilight Zone (Member Recognition Function).

I don't disagree with you. However, I have only one thing which I contribute to Eddie in any way shape or form and that is my attendance at a Collingwood game. It is the only influence I have in this situation.

The alternative is not to sit at home staring at the wall. I will put in a couple of extra hours work instead of watching the game and take the money I earned plus what I would have paid going to the game and donate it to Adam's Foundation. This might seem like a small or insignificant thing but imagine if every swans fan did this. No-one would be at the game, sending a clear and obvious message to Eddie and the AFL, plus a worthy cause would have a ton of cash! I know this won't happen, but I can only do what I can do and this is the only thing I can do.

But this is our home game so if everyone did what you planned it would hurt The Swans in a significant way and the only message it would send is that Swans fans don't attend games regardless of ladder position.
I could understand your stance if it were their home game but not ours.

Yeah, I am flailing around a bit trying to find _something_ I can do. I strongly believe that stopping racism requires one to do the difficult things as well as the easy things. This is a difficult case.

I do understand your feelings, it would be so good to be able to send a gigantic message to Eddie the douchbag that whilst the AFL and Pies fans adore him and let him get away with blue murder, he turns the stomach of everyone else in the football world.

Am certainly enjoying going on the Collingwood board on Bigfooty and reading certain posts on their that have a tinge of fear in them and not the usual arrogance of years gone by...LOL!!!

If everyone who thought Eddie was a Douche refused to watch any shows that he was involved in then his ratings would be in single figures and he'd be BONED from said programs .

Not going Sat night just hurts your own club.

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I would love to be in charge of the PA at ANZ on Sat. I would have taped the loudest booing at any match this year and when Eddie walked in to take his seat in whatever stand, I would play it over the PA system at its loudest volume and for a minute. Childish I know but it would be oh so satisfying. Could even have a banner reading, 'Eddie that's what we think of you' to accompany it.
