I am glad that peace has descended once again in RWO-land and we can now live happily ever after. We have found a respectful middle ground and everyone is satisfied.

Just on ANZ, it was noticeable just how much better the surface was on Saturday night given they had a full week to prepare the ground with the stands pulled back because there was no NRL game there on the Friday night. The surface should be equally as good for the Hawks game.

Unfortunately, if we get a home final in Week 1 it will be back to the usual crappy surface because Souths play Easts on the Friday night at ANZ in the only game. There's more chance of GWS winning next years flag then getting the NRL and Ch9 to give up that spot in what will probably be the seasons biggest live crowd and a TV audience of Origin proportions.

There are always going to be sold-out games at the SCG. There have been several this year. It doesn't mean that it's a good and popular idea to just move to a bigger stadium every time, ensuring that the Swans never play at a sold-out venue. Based on the logic that any extra people is better than all other pros for the SCG, why don't we just organise a situation where we play at ANZ every week, to make certain there are always seats available? .....because it sucks and I'd say most members would be pretty p***** off. Membership would drop sharply, I'd say.

I was just making a point regarding the logic about capacity - which is in agreeance with several posters. And DamY was kinda right in the midst of all the 'enthusiastic' posts when it all went south. I've offered opinions, experiences and highlighted some points, as is the point of RWO. Now permanently off to a different thread.

I noticed the same thing. I can't blame Nine or the NRL in that situation, as much as I'd like to, as they have the ground booked. In the Hawthorn situation, they didn't. At least it should be in decent nick for that game.

I'm a 90/120 minute drive from both grounds and both grounds have their good points and bad points but if they played in a cow paddock in Timbucktoo that had no parking and only served @@@@ on a stick with pumpkin, I'd still go to every game. But that's just me, we all follow the team in our own way and the most annoying thing about this site nowadays is that it seems you have to follow it a particular way or cop ridicule and be classed as a NARF!
                        Great post.

I too get annoyed by posts suggesting how the Swans should ,or shouldn't, be supported. Each to their own.

I hate pumpkin. I'm glad we're not forced to eat it as I would never go to a game if that was the case.

They do pumpkin pizza at the Rag in North Sydney. Its pretty good - combined with its lower elevation and the celebration ale on tap, it just gives it the edge over the Union (which has pictures of Barry Round and Plugger painted on the outside of it). I haven't tried their @@@@@@ on a stick though.
