Feeling suprisingly confident this week with Buddy out, freeing up Richards and the return of Tippet, Smith and Hanneberry after we only lost by 12 points despite looking better for most or half the game.

As pointed out on afl.com.au though, the Hawks have won 11 of their last 12 games without Buddy, by an average of 56 points (the one loss predictably being a 2-point loss to Geelong). Sure, I'd rather have him out than in, but it hardly elevates us to favouritism or anything.
None of those wins without buddy were in finals

Please do not bring back underdone players. I still remember the 05 final against the Saints where they brought back a few blokes after a few weeks and we smashed them in the last quarter.

A final is no place to rediscover your touch, let alone fitness.

        Just don't.

I know Jetta is a risk but he other guys should not be underdone(Tippett, Hanns and Smith). Little bit worried about Rohan. Played a great first half but did not get a possession in the second half. maybe he should be sub and Jetta could be worth a risk.

Rohan is clearly still finding his way back, but he's a seasoned team member now compared to the likes of Jetta and, maybe, Goodes. They all offer x-factor and can have an influence with just a handful of touches, but it does come down to how many the team can carry. But also worth noting that the two main alternatives - Jack and Cunningham - each had fewer than 10 possessions each too. Both looked good in the first quarter or so, but then faded.

Our injury situation is far from ideal but the coaches just need to play the hand they've been dealt as best they can and see what happens.

I suspect an awful lot is going to depend on a Gunstan/Rampe matchup.

Hard to see Everitt getting dropped, might be Mitchell for Jetta.

Yes. Probably more likely than Mitchell. Having said that i'd really like to see Morton play.

Everitt will definitely stay. Morton will go if jetta comes back.

The only man who will unseat everitt is lrt.

I understand Morton being dropped, but I'd be very disappointed. He'd be the final jigsaw puzzle in having a threatening forward line

The logic may be faulty but I appreciated this anyway:

Given both Franklin and Kurt Tippett average three goals a game this year, the Hawk's suspension coinciding with the Swan's return represents a six-goal turnaround from the round-23 clash that was decided by a mere 12 points.

Anyone know what section the swans area will be at the MCG this Friday?
