Bugger. Missed the alliteration.
My apologies.

That's what is so weird about this whole affair. What on earth was Colless thinking when he decided to go to the press. The initial shock-horror upon learning of Roos' appointment at the Demons had died down to a grudging acceptance and goodwill from Swans fans, when out of nowhere Colless lobs this grenade, and leaves the wounds to fester by not explaining his actions.
As far as I can see, we only know two facts here: Colless accused Roos of being a naughty boy, and Roos denied it. The rest is just conjecture, opinion and downright defamation (which I guess is why we have RWO). Now that Caro has weighed into the debate, the truth will go out the window forever.
The best thing that can happen now is to let Roos get on with playing with his new toys, pat Colless on the back and send him into the sunset to enjoy a peaceful (and quiet) retirement, and leave the Swans to concentrate on their imminent list management problems.
If Dew and Tudor want to pursue opportunities elsewhere, shake their hands and wish them well. Neither of them are rusted-on Swans, and they'll move on eventually. Longmire's not going anywhere soon, and replacement assistants won't be hard to find.

My apologies.
