Why we didn't get rid of mcglyn is a strange one, would suit the giants needs more, also from the swans salary cap point of view would free up a lot more cash than lamb.
Lamb has gone to GWS

No doubt that at the right price we would have wanted to keep Lambie
Lambie in my opinion was not a certainty to make it as an elite inside mid. Lambies tank still needed alot of improvement despite him level jumping in 2013. Lambie at Snr level was still more of an outside player / forward at best
i think with the amount of outside players we have right now in Jetta, Hannes, BJ, Rohan, Towers, Cunningham, Biggs, Dick that we may still be looking for an inside mid and maybe we have a trade lined up with GWS rather then a lowly pick they may give us ?"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Just a little disappointed with this, although not too surprised. Micky O and the club had big wraps on him.
Given that we will be getting some players back (hopefully) next season, he'll probably struggle to get a game.
This way he is probably guaranteed to close to a full season on the park.
Good luck to him.Comment

This is a shock, however in list balance terms it makes sense.....if we get a trade for a key position defender, Ruck option, or a good pick.
I could see a trade for a player may also suit GWS, as they have 4 top picks and recruiting at least 3 senior bodies and less list space available.
Let's wait and see first....Staying ahead of the game...Comment

This is what happens when you offer a ridiculous 9 year deal. So we will lose Lamb, Everitt, Mumford, White all because of Buddy coming in. Horse better hope he's worth what he's paying him because were losing four blokes because of him. Everitt has had a very good season, Mumford is our best ruckman, White has come on in leaps and bounds, aswell as Lamb, yet were losing them all because we decided to put Buddy on a 9 year deal which I think is negligence in itself. That deal has Andrew Ireland written all over it.
Will other players want to come to our club if they know that there is no money??
This deal get worse and worse; we won a flag without Tippett and Buddy but we wont win one without some depth to cover injury just like this year!doof-doofComment

This will make GWS feel better about the Buddy 'fiasco'
What will make them feel even better is screwing us over with the trade. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

I am not sure I see why / how Lamb fits GWS's need for an injection of senior experience. He's been in the AFL system three years, which is the same length of time the Giants 17 year old concession players have been in the system. In terms of AFL experience, he has considerably less than their top tier of players and no more than pretty much every player whose been on their list for at least a year. He may or may not become a regular senior player for the Giants but I don't see how he's going to add what they need to transform themselves in the short term from an onfield basket case into something vaguely competitive.Last edited by Ruck'n'Roll; 22 October 2013, 09:14 AM.Comment

Surey we cutlet him go...?
I thank you.
But did we see him again after his audacious snap around the body from 40 when he had players free in better position? He kicked the goal, but thought at the time he'd get read the protocol after the game.He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

Pretty dissapointed by this, but I can perfectly understand it for Jed and wish him all the best.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Indifferent about Lamb. Laughing at Gws though ( I don't expect they will last long past demetriou leaving)You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment
