Afraid I do not share this view. It would be great if Sydney was able to genuinely sustain two AFL clubs but I do not believe the Sydney market can long term.

Therefore us v the Bogans is a rather serious business as they are a City Hall-backed team which is a direct threat to health or our club. Roosy has often said his biggest fear was that the Bogans coming would see there being two weak teams in Sydney and that is spot on.

I really do believe Sydney can only support one team and it should be us. I suspect the Swans board also share this view. So, the only option is a warlike stance that hopefully will dispatch them to the ACT asap.

Fortunately for us the AFL and Bogans have done such a terrible job in setting that Franchise up (they are not a football club but a TV Franchise). Add in an A-League presence and a resurgent NRL that is just about to arm up and they really are pushing the brown stuff up hill.

Our signing of Buddy was a masterstroke in our battle with them.
